Only reason for 4 stars is service, the waiter was friendly, but there were issues with food, we asked that no bacon is served for the whole table and when ordering we mentioned again that we didn’t want bacon but the burgers still came with bacon. We waited almost an hour for appetizers to come and right when appetizers came also the mains came after so it wasn’t perfect.Parking: Its the shared parking lot of LongHorn and Olive Garden so it does get busy and at times difficult to find parking spots.“

“Decided to treat ourselves to a steak dinner. Potato soup - fantastic! Warm bread - delicious! I ordered the 8oz steak with grilled chicken, my husband the 6 oz with grilled shrimp. This would have been a 5 star except the 6 oz was such a disappointment- should not have even been called a steak, so thin, it looked like a steakum ?? the rest of dinner was fabulous! The 8 oz steak, chicken and shrimp met expectations. We ordered another order of grilled shrimp to make up for the steak disappointment.Bottom line, the Outback is a great choice for dinner! Just don’t order the 6oz steak!“

“The service here is truly 5 stars, worth it to return for that attention and comfort. They have the routine down and give you the attention you want and feel special on for a night out. Definitely recommend reservations as it got major crowded in the tables and around the bar. Their cocktail list is impressive and was not disappointing in execution. We had the stuffed mushrooms to start and it was juicy though underseasoned. Their steaks were exactly what you want and I recommend the au poivre sauce as a tangy condiment. That was memorable for sure. The place overall just seems dark and outdated in furnishings, especially in the bathrooms. Their food hits the mark and service makes it worth returning.“

“Got there early on a Sunday with my wife and 2 small kids. We had then porterhouse for 2, garlic mash, broccoli rob, penne vodka w shrimp, and the lasagna. I wanted to love the place, but they fell short on the flavor of the food. We all liked our meal, but all agreed it fell short on the seasoning. They were just opening, so it's possible they gave us mash and lasagna from the day before and it was good but wasn't great. I do plan on going back to give it another go. The service was great and the dining room comfy. Not a bad experience. Worth a meal to try them out.“

“I have been going to this restaurant with friends and family since they were located in Atlantic Highlands before they moved to Hazlet. Although I still enjoy the food, we don't go there as often anymore because they no longer have their prime rib special on Friday nights as they had for years. I understood them stopping during the pandemic when beef prices were rising so much but was hoping they would bring it back eventually as other restaurants do have it some days. So far, not yet . . . Previous 5 star review: The prime rib is excellent and a great deal on Friday night. Not used to not being able to finish. Had to take the rest home because I couldn't waste it! :)“
