“One of the best dim sum restaurant in Central Jersey! Lunch time is highly recommended. On the weekend, they bring food on a cart and you can pick whatever you want to eat. Everything is so tasty and we love it! Price is very reasonable. You can also order from Entree menu, which is also delicious.
It gets very crowded on weekend lunch time, so recommend going as soon as they open at 11:30am.“

“This place has easily become my go-to spot and honestly my favorite restaurant around. We order from here at least twice a week, and every single time the food shows up hot, fresh, and seriously delicious. The consistency is what really stands out. No matter what we order, it’s always high quality and clearly made with care.

At this point I’ve tried a good portion of the menu. The gyros are excellent, packed with flavor and always satisfying. The chicken is crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The sides are great too. The mashed potatoes and mac and cheese are legit comfort food, and the fries are always hot and crispy. I’ve also had the Philly cheesesteak, which is fantastic, and most recently tried the burger. The burger was outstanding and easily one of the best takeout burgers I’ve had in the area.

What really blows me away is the value. For around $15 you can get a burger, fries, and a soda. That’s basically the price of fast food now, but the quality here is on a completely different level. You’re getting real, flavorful food that actually feels worth the money.

It’s rare to find a place that’s this consistent, this good, and this affordable. If you’re looking for great halal food that’s hot, satisfying, and one of the best deals around, this place absolutely delivers. I recommend it to everyone.“

Our server introduced herself, Heather took our drink and dinner order quickly after being seated. Our steaks were prepared perfectly to med-rare temperature and our sides were also excellent. “We just finished up my birthday celebration here and it was hands down one of the best I have ever had. The food and service are top notch. The amenities and thoughtfulness they put into this experience puts this place in a league of its own. We did the 4lbs (we are a family of 6) with the Cajun sauce. I recommend getting the garlic noodles, corn, potatoes and sausage. We also go some bread at the end and used it to dip in the sauce. 10/10. Get their versions of caprisuns. As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. The ambiance is warm and unpretentious and the memories of a great experience will certainly bring us back again.“

“We had lunch on Saturday afternoon. I would rate the food as pretty good, and better than Red Lobster which is right across Rt. 18. However the presentation of the food leaves a good deal to be desired. They serve on paper strays with plastic spoons. Paper would be fine if it was of a higher / thicker quality. The plastic utensils would also be fine if they weren’t of the kiddie party variety. The We had soft shelled crab, fried shrimp and catfish with boiled Cajun pototes and French fries. All of the food was good, neither over cooked not undercooked. The soft shell carb was pretty good. What was annoying was that the (soupy) boiled potato(s) side dish was served in a Saran Wrap baggie tied in a knot and put in the same paper tray with the fried soft shell crab. It was hard to tear it open without spilling the contents all over the table. However the side dish potatoes were good. The problem was the plating. The French fries were also good, neither overcooked nor undercooked and tender. While the food is good you and the restaurant is decently decorated, you get the impression that they have a very very tight budget for necessities as in utensils, plates and trays. Nevertheless we will eat there again or have their food delivered. They do not have a delivery service so you must use Uber or Doordash.“

The table settings were very classy, only issue I had was that it was so beautiful set, but received the bread dip oil, which was delish came in a plastic cup? The app was mussels in a garlic wine sauce, very meaty and tasty. The meal was very good, had the Grilled Jumbo shrimp, with traditional chips. Seafood Fra Diavolo ordered medium was tasteless and calamari were the Shop n Stop frozen rings. Key Lime pie slice the size for a mouse maybe and tasteless, no presentation like back in the day. Another “ former “ old time patron sitting next to us was furious as his swordfish was maybe 1/4” thick. We both agreed never to visit Blue Water again. We both remembered when it was the best ! My spouse and I were customers when the place would be packed now 4 tables only at 6:30pm ( guessing others feel the same) and long gone is the special menu had lobster cakes, halibut, monk fish , red snapper etc. Sadly and honestly not even better than a pizza restaurant but 3x the price. “I ordered family lunch. 16 pieces of fish, 8 whiting/8 flounder; reasonable at $56 no sides. The fish was very fresh. It was fried well, crispy with a slightly thick panko breading. I prefer a thinner corn meal breading. I did not detect any seasoning, i.e. Old Bay, salt or pepper so sprinkled it on when I got home. You can also order fish, scallops, shrimp, combos with fries and sides. Overall, it was a good substitute for having to fry it myself and I will likely go again. There is a good variety of fresh fish and seafood for purchase too.“

“My wife and I have been patrons and huge fans of Chez Catherine for nearly 30 years. Last Friday, we happily celebrated our 39th anniversary there with another very fine lunch. It's always a pleasure to be greeted like old friends by owner Stephane Bocket and seated at what we think is the best table in the tastefully decorated, elegant restaurant. We both chose the prix fixe menu. For starters, my wife had the always terrific moules and I a lovely mixed salad. We both chose beef bourguignons for our main course and asked Stephane to suggest wine from the by-the-glass list. His selections of a chablis for my wife and pinot noir for me worked perfectly with the outstanding bourguignons. We finished by sharing a delicious Baba au Rhum, prepared by Stephane at tableside. Dining at Chez Catherine is always a special event to us. Everything about it is first class. If you are unfamiliar with Chez Catherine, it has been one of New Jersey's Top 5 restaurants for nearly 40 years.
