“I only get the fish from here which is Amazing and there pretty large pieces, they can be pretty salty but it’s good. I tried the tilapia before and it was also good because they ran out of whiting but prices are quite high just for 2 prices of fish. My family often gets the chicken and seems to like it.“
“I first tried this food at a festival in Edison New Jersey. They were the best food vendor. I recently visited their store in Roselle New Jersey, and ordered a small ample serving of brown stew, chicken with rice and peas and cabbage $8.49.! I also got a nice slice of carrot cake for dessert -$4.Delicious and affordable.“
“Been here before and the food is great. This time around we had Mike as a waiter and he was exceptional, going above and beyond and honestly one of the best waiters I've ever had. We will definitely be coming back and hopefully have Mike as our waiter. He deserves a raise.“
“Can't say enough good things about Del Porto. Great food, great staff. Our party of 5 discovered this gem after missing our United Airlines connection. Long story but suffice it to say we were tired and a bit grouchy. Their arabiatta sauce was amazing and all of our entrees were great. But the staff and service were the story of the night. Then when I left my credit card there late on a Saturday night, the owner asked one of the employees to run it up to my hotel near the airport -- about 15 minutes away. Can't speak highly enough about Del Porto.“
“Everything is so good and tasty!!! I’ve been here three times, every time is a good experience. The fish is huge!!! Like the classic flavor a lot. Also can tell the fish is super fresh and tender. Will come again and order for delivery of course.“
“Our server. Charles was very bright and welcoming from the start. He was very humorous to the kids and was playful with them. I enjoyed his company and service and wish to see him againParking: It was fine, not full but somewhat difficult, 1-2 min“
“You can sense that you're going to have fun as soon as you step through the door. If you ask me, the ugly crab is a better alternative than the others. It's delicious and fresh to boil. Without a doubt, I would return to this place. Also get the Shirley temple. ☺️“
“First time visit to this restaurant. Our server Alina was exceptional - made great recommendations. The service was on point. The staff is very efficient. I loved my drink "Pineapple Jalapeno Mockarita". The crab cake, the best we have ever had - no fillers, just fresh crab meat. It's even better than the ones you get in Alaska. Other dishes we ordered including Branzino, Halibut were delicious as well. Portions are big. Next time, we are going to try the salads, we have heard they are great. Memorable experience. Would love to go back.“
“The food, service, and vibes are absolutely incredible. We had the bacon wrapped scallops, octopus, filet Mignon steaks, mashed potatoes, broccoli rabe, and creamed spinach. Literally everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Go check this place out!“
“We had a team luncheon here, and it was great. ? Hence why it wouldn't be appropriate for me to take pictures of our food when being treated for lunch. Beautiful, great atmosphere. Appetizers were pesto flatbread, lump crab cake, grilled artichokes, and slow roasted meatballs. Entrees were Maui tuna salad, steak tacos, and chicken caprese sandwich. Dessert was carrot cake and strawberry ca nnoli. Everything was good. Wish dessert was not in a shotglass.“
“What a charming, neighborhood spot! We happened upon this little gem while in the area for business, staff was terrific, friendly and attentive, food was very good, fair prices, delicious sangria and space had a hip vibe. Outdoor seating available, too. A winner!Kid-friendliness: Very casual and friendly --and great french fries!“
“Food here is good and the service is superb. The owner explains the menu and recommends what is best based on your preferences. I'm not big on spicy food but they can adjust it for you. The portions are also big and they will ask if you want to share your order. The menu is not that extensive but you can't go wrong with any item. I plan to go back and taste other menu items I haven't tried.“
“Wendy, gave excellent service, she was quick and efficient, with a kind smile. This was my first time at the Bonefish and she made the atmosphere comfortable; while managing other tables she still made sure to pop by our table with water and bread. She was truly amazing. The food was also good the bang bang shrimp had a spice I wasn’t ready for but was still amazing.“
“Excellent service matched by amazing authentic Lebanese food. We will definitely be coming back. The owners know the meaning of hospitality and show it in everything they do. The staff was so kind and welcoming. We appreciate finding gems like this in New Jersey. See you all soon!“
“Our Go To restaurant for fine French dining in New Jersey. We have been dining at Chez Catherine for more than 30 years. We have never been disappointed. Upon entering, we are greeted by a friendly host/maitre'd/waiter. He greets you with humor. The dining room is small but there is plenty of space between tables. There is a nice cocktail list and wine by the glass. We opted for a bottle of wine from their extensive collection. There is wine for every budget ranging from $50 to $1750. The menu is prix. fixe with either a 3 course or 4 course option. A few of the items have an up charge. The meal began with a basket of delicious french bread sourced from a local bakery along with an amuse bouche of apricots stuffed with brie. My wife had mussels and I had the steak tartare ($5 up charge). Both were outstanding and the portions were large. For entrees my wife chose the duck breast and I had the cassoulet. Both were delicious, and I took about half of my cassoulet home. For dessert, the souffle of the day was raspberry and we both selected the souffle. We look forward to our next trip.“
“Limani Seafood in Westfield is a gem!!excellent service and a cozy atmosphere that sets the stage for a remarkable dining experience. The standout feature of Leani is its commitment to serving fantastic, fresh seafood dishes. One highlight is their crab cakes, made with 100% crab meat and no fillers, ensuring each bite is a pure delight. The seared scallops are another standout, leaving a lasting impression with their exquisite flavor and perfect execution. And let's not forget about the desserts, which are simply out of this world, offering a sweet finale to an already exceptional meal. “The place is pretty, clean, artistic. The staff was helpful as we were ordering for the first time. Most importantly, the menu is amazing. I am going to work my way through it, I just wish I could handle the hottest sauces. Today, it's The ODB, some sides, and a strawberry lemonade.“
“Absolutely amazing!!! Zara really is incredible to dine in and take out. I’ve done both. The staff is very attentive. My family and I have loved every dish. I’m a bit of a hummus snob and I’m just going to say it - best hummus!!, bread!! and Sheppard salad I’ve ever had!!! The feta is so fresh. I’m an original loyal fan of Sahara on Coney Island Ave. IYKYK. This has them beat!! The lamb gyro , salmon shish, lebni, steak, chicken literally everything !!!“
“I normally frequent another pizzeria in town. A friend suggested a visit to Che Pizza. I’m glad I finally did.The melanzane pie brings me back to Italy, and it’s become a craving on meatless Fridays. The ingredients — eggplant, ricotta, marinara, basil — are fresh and tasty. The Capri wrap (tender grilled chicken, broccoli rabe, & fresh mozzarella) is also another must have — pure garlic goodness.Dario, one of the owners, efficiently runs the front of the house. He takes orders at the counter, expedites, and answers the phone. He is quite charming! Looking forward to trying other menu items.“
“Its the best samosa chat, chole bhature in all of the NJ just make sure the Punjabi aunty makes it, she is the best when it comes to serving you. You feel the warmth of home. Try the masal chai along with the chat. we were travelling to our state via NJ and the food here made our day!!“
“We were visiting the area for the weekend and were wanting to get some good cuban food. This was a wonderful little spot! Enrique did a great job as our server. He recommended the roupa vieja stuffed plantains. They were delicious! He also recommended my drink: Hennessy mojito with passion fruit. Delicious and very well mixed. We had the bistec empanzinado and the bistec encebollado (our typical picks in cuban restaurants). Both came out quickly and tasted exactly as they should. We had coconut flan for dessert. Really really good!!!Service was impressive. Quick and attentive. We came at 7pm on a Saturday and ate at the upstairs restaurant (downstairs is a bar/nightclub).Would come back.“
“I was recommended by a dear friend and can't thank her enough.I’m glad I visited the Tavern. Let me tell you what I was missing so close to home. Great menu choices of delicious food with reasonable prices. The hospitality was amazing. Felt right at home, they really know how to welcome you. I highly recommend this place. If nothing else satisfy you, try them. It’s a definitely do over for me.“
“I was just there last night with my partner, and to say the least we had an amazing time. The service was truly outstanding, and the food on point. I don’t recall the servers name but she was also the bartender and she did an amazing job at making us feel welcomed and got some laughs out of us. Will totally come back for more fun nights.“
“Fish always on point whiting chicken definitely a hit . Food not rushed 5 stars from me fresh nd delicious dont forget the wiggle sauce goes with your fish nd chicken the best remember i told youParking: Somewhat difficult but parking lot across the street“
“I am pleased to say that my hunt for delicious Jamaican cuisine worth its weight is finally over! I appreciate Yelp even more for introducing me to this gem of a place. They've been open roughly 6 months, so I do not feel like I've been missing out for too long. It was a sunny Saturday afternoon, and thankfully not a long wait. I ordered the curry chicken w/cabbage and rice & peas. The curry was flavorful and finger-licking good, falling off of the bone; although some of my peas were rock hard but other than that the rice & peas were delicious, too. The cabbage was sooo good!!! I could have used a tad more, but I chocked that up to personal preference - i LOVE cabbage! I guess I was so mesmerized by the inviting aroma that I forgot to take a picture of my food (which usually never happens), but take my word... the container was empty. The menu has plenty to offer and I am looking forward to trying the jerk chicken next time - which is made on the grill (not the oven). I also loved the decor and art on the walls. Great food and the service is what won me over completely. While waiting for my order, I met the cook and chatted with the owner, Maxine, who is extremely personable and polite. I could have talked to her about quality food and quality customer service all day. It's nice to converse with owners of establishments who just 'get it'. The professionalism here is on point. And make no mistake about it, she reads all reviews and takes all feedback into consideration. There's also a very nice outdoor space with seating and live music. I will definitely be back! 5 stars earned and well-deserved!“
“We are regulars at this longstanding Iberian favorite. Somehow it effortlessly combines what seems daunting to most restaurants: an elegant ambiance of white tablecloth settings, formally attired waitstaff and festive but calm vibe — with excellent food at a great value. We had a few minutes to wait for the time of our reservation so sat at a table in the bar, joining locals who were reconnecting while eyeing the eternal soccer game on TV. We ordered a bottle of red wine for $40 for four, which we then brought to our table. There are many delicious seafood and land options, all preceded by a generous bowl of homemade soup. The owner, a lovely woman, presides over the long room. There is even a parking lot next to the restaurant to ease any Newark jitters from suburban sojourners.Parking: It’s not a huge lot but we’ve been lucky most times. Street parking is not hard if needed.“
“On my first visit, I was welcomed in 15 minutes before they opened and was able to place my order before the front door was even unlocked. Great onion rings, an incredible burger and good vibes all around. I didn’t expect the fat-daddy pickle, but it was a welcomed surprise.I’ll definitely be back!“
“Pass by this place a lot and finally went inside.Glad I did.Nice old fashioned bar with awesome food. With so many chain restaurants taking over the landscape, it’s refreshing to come to a place like this and actually eat freshly made food and sit back with a few drinks.I will def be coming back!BTW try the hot pastrami sandwich on rye. It was so delicious.“
“Me and My wife went there on 3/19/24 for my birthday. We was welcomed in and had best seats, they even sang happy birthday to me without even asking for it and it came lit up with a cheese cake. The Most Best Part of the dinning was the waitress - SANNY- she is the best!! i recommend her, she was very on top of our needs and drinks and positive:-)“
“I've been eating their fish soup since before I could even remember over 20+ years thanks to my mom always bringing home soup from here! Absolutely delicious very light well seasoned freshly made freshly caught fish! I've started bringing my own family here as well and my husband takes the long drive and picks up soups from here when we get cravings for a tasty hot fish soup. Highly recommend this spot! I don't venture into North Newark unless it's for the few select food spots I grew up on that I have yet to find better else where.“
“Always excellent. Been eating here for years now and never disappoints. Service is always good. And Chuck treats everyone like family. We like to go early so it's not too crowded but reservations are a good idea. Love the Antipasto salad with meat with the BEST dressing (that you can take to go). Get it every time. Pasta ( rigatoni salsiccia & penne vodka) and chicken (Arturo, Marsala) dishes are a must. Weekly specials always worth a try. And leave room for dessert- NY cheesecake.“
“Definitely a five star experience!!! We arrived just before happy hour ended (4-5:30) and they were kind enough to place a quick order of oysters!!! They were super fresh and delicious... favs were west coast (sorry NJ). Next, came the Parker rolls!!! Probably my favorite part of the meal, but then again, who doesn't like homemade, freshly baked rolls with buttered top and a touch of salt!!! Because everything looked so good, we opted for a bunch of other appys to start! The New Zealand angus beef bites were served with horseradish aioli and a Parker roll, the halloumi cheese was accompanied by orange slices, prosciutto, radicchio and dehydrated olives. The octopus was spectacular... crispy with romanesco sauce, fried chickpeas, cilantro and paprika breadcrumbs. Of course, we had to also try the OHS mussel pot... with chorizo, saffron, garlic cream, sun dried tomatoes... and an herbed garlic roll on top!!! LOVED THEM ALL! It's not often that so many different, but complimentary flavors are presented in each dish!!! We could have stopped our meals there and would have been pleasantly satisfied and full! Next, we chose a couple of the sirloin sandwiches with fries, and the squid ink pasta with Calabrian chili and Meyer lemon breadcrumbs!!! All was very good. The evening was finished with 3 of their delicious desserts... the lemon meringue tart was the perfect sweet with a pucker. The molten dark chocolate cake was decadent. And the trio of gelatos were each so uniquely flavorful and delicious! Wow!!! Given that 100 steps is a BYOB, it makes everything even more affordable! We had spectacular service in this beautiful restaurant with amazing food! It was quite a special evening!“
“First time here and it wasn’t bad. I made a reservation so we didn’t have to wait and we were seated immediately. Took a bit of time before our waitress came to the table though. Our waitress Alyssa came over and helped us with the menu and gave us some suggestions and we went with the seafood boil for 2 which was called the Sea Lovers. We went with that selection and Calamari for the appetizer of choice. The Calamari came out pretty fast however was not hot as we expected. It was still good and had a bit of a kick to it.We choose the Nauti Crab flavor which was good, I just think they need to spread out the flavor more. The potatoes and corn didn’t have any flavor on it as we had to get the seasoning from the bottom and rub it on the corn and potatoes. We’d consider giving this place another try soon“
“If authentic Mexican tacos is your thing, this place is where to go! Not only were their tacos big in size, delicious and flavorful, but they had 9 different types of sauces to sample with your chips before your meal. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed. Oh and don’t forget to order their fresh guacamole!“
“From the minute we walked in with our reservations are table was ready for us. Everything was fresh and amazing . The crab cake , calamari, and shrimp appetizer were amazing. I had the Lambchops ( which were recommended by the waiter) , they didn't disappoint and were cooked to perfection. The rest of my party had nothing but praises for there dishes and no one brought home any left overs because everything was eaten.Waiter was verygood also but his name escapes me.“
“I went to Ocean Seafood last weekend for the first time. I was in search of octopus. Not only did they have it, but they had multiple options. It was very good quality. Was excited to see so many options for seafood, and even some Spanish specialty items (cheeses, sausages, and more)...all at very reasonable prices. This is very likely my new seafood market.“
“Christian the waiter is fantastic. I suggest requesting Christian because he is a phenomenal waiter. He checked in on us to make sure that we were enjoying the food which we were. He explained the menu and gave fantastic recommendations on what to order and told us what's popular on the menu. He did a fantastic job explaining the menu. ? ?“
“I can't say enough about the food at Lacey's. Huge family style platters served by friendly staff. You need a big appetite to finish a meal here. A little hard to find parking close by. Parking is limited to the street but well worth the effort. The Thursday Lobsterfest is very good and can get crowded “
“Wonderful Portions for the ONLY $11 Small Tray... I Think I Was Given About 5 Pieces of Stew Chicken... Which Thier Stew Chicken Is Different By the Sauce Being Thicker and Darker... Open 24 Hours ONLY Carribean Spot Around the Way To Do So...“
“Just tried this restaurant and thier chicken wings are AMAZING! Definitely the best in town and possibly the best I ever had! I got the BBQ and Buffalo and both were tremendous! My wife and I cant wait to try the gyros and the other options. Definitely will come back!“
“I got the shrimp salad which was great although the shrimp was slightly burned. My husband had the chicken salad, which he liked. We got a sausage and parm sandwich for my husband's uncle and he loved it. It would have been nice if utensils were packed for us as we did not realize this until later but overall good place.“
“Lots of good food options, especially Hispanic. Parking available is a major plus. Has children’s high chairs available and gave us crayons and a little table mat to color. Service was standard and have nothing bad to say about this place! It is a Jersey diner so can’t expect much for decorations but I’ve been coming here for years and will keep coming.Parking: Parking lot is adjacent to diner. Parking is free.Kid-friendliness: High chairs, crayons and coloring placemat available.“
“Highest of the High. Best of the Best. Spirit, energy, ServiceKid-friendliness: Wholesome guys greeting and serving you. No loiterersParking: Front of store is Springfield Av. Some parking. Big parking lot behind store. No problem parkingWheelchair accessibility: First floor entry, no steps or ramp needed“
“I just had the best experience at Q'tal! Our server was so attentive but also gave us space to talk and catch up. She was so kind and everything she recommended was delicious. I highly recommend the jackfruit croquettes and the sliders which I love that they have vegan options for someone like me. I'm not sure of the name it was a passionfruit cosmo type drink and I didn't even realize it came out with a dry ice bubble. 10/10 for presentation on everything and ambiance. They have a dining area which feels a little more formal ( the chairs were so comfy by the way) and then a bar area with high tops which I think would be great for a girls night. I already can't wait to go back!“
“We stopped in after a quick trip to the nearby Ikea. The food was good. The salad bar appeared very fresh which is not always the case with some locations. The shining star though was our server Tianna. She was so pleasant, checked back often to ensure we had everything we needed. Would come back when passing through again and would specifically request her as a server if she was working.“
“Looks like a BBQ place, smells like a BBQ place. Food was to die for! Me and my father came here to eat on his 30 minute break, and they were very quick with our food. I'm picky when it comes to seafood, especally where I get it from, but I walked out with a to-go order of garlic shrimp and I'm very happy I was talked into taking some home, its sooooo good.Everyone was friendly and we were always checked up on, I will definitely be returning.“
“1st time going to the store. I had fried shrimp. Tilapia fish with French fries. All I can say is that the shrimp was EXCELLENT. ???? I had shrimp before but not like this. Every thing was perfect. Right spice and it was fried right. The fish was the same but meaty. Would recommend anyone to go there. I'm going back there twice a week. Very good seafood. The store closes early but that is ok to me.“
