“Visited on Wednesday night to celebrate mine and my husbands wedding that day and as soon as we walked in we were greeted by lovely friendly staff. We were seated quickly and were introduced to our server. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was fantastic. We opted for the Korean bacon to start and we both had the butchers feast. Outstanding. The steak was beautiful and the dishes that came with it were amazing too. The short rib and egg soufflé were my favourite. The dumplings, beet salad, scallops, brussel sprouts,and stuffed shrimp were all delicious! The drinks were great. Dessert selection was nice - the lemon tart was fantastic. “This place absolutely lives up to the expectation when it comes to food, service, atmosphere, and the oodles of money you will pay for your meal. Quick tips are go early (because by 6:30/7 it will start to fill up) or during the week, order the burger (they only make 6 per DAY), and reserve a high top seat by the bar (just my preference but it made me feel like I was in a less stuffy/fancy shmancy restaurant).

Jk about this being a short review. Anyway I loved all of the appetizers we got to start and would order them again and again. The bread service had a cheddar biscuit that was unnecessarily good, herbed focaccia, and whipped butter and labneh as dips. I had to stop myself from going crazy on that alone. The tuna tartare with shiso, sesame, and seaweed was light, fresh, and the flavor didn’t overpower the tuna itself. Tuna grade was also a 10/10 and just melted in my mouth. The oven baked cherry stone clams with pickled pepper, garlic bread crust, snd spicy pepper butter was creamy was deeply flavorful and blended so well together. If any critique here, I would ask for the breadcrumbs to be toasted a bit longer but I’m just being annoying. Then their take on a Caesar, the little gems salad, with hazelnuts, an anchovy vinaigrette, and leeks was just surprising enough while still following the traditional Caesar taste… so exactly what I wanted to feel like I was doing something different.

As for our mains, the bone in filet mignon just melted. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned intentionally but sparingly so the meat really shined. The cappelletti with butternut squash, brown butter, candied pepitas, and toasted sage was such a cozy dish, it tasted how the Fall season feels! If I were to critique the dish, I wish it was served hot and not warm; that would’ve brought its level up to a 15 instead of 11 out of ten. And the star of the show… the bar burger! Of course it’s not on the menu and as I said above, they only make 6 burgers a day… so obviously I had to get it and was not disappointed in the slightest! Nothing fancy here: melted cheese (don’t ask what kind), medium rare burger, light tomatoes sauce (fancy ketchup) and a sourdough bun. Think that’s what haven tastes like? The burger was HUGE so I will be eating the other half for breakfast.

Had the most delicious cab that was sooo expensive… so I’ll never have it again but it was fruity and bold in all the right ways.“

OMG where do I even start? The food is unreal and the staff is so classy! They literally treated us like royalty.
The Steak Frites was the best I’ve ever had—literally melted in my mouth. That Ribeye was cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside and super juicy inside. And don't even get me started on the mashed potatoes and spinach... I’ve never had mash that creamy in my entire life! No wonder the chef has a Michelin star!
We went for Restaurant Week; my husband got the lunch special and that Salmon Tartare was next level. Even the bread, the butter, and the dessert were a total 10/10.
Seriously, you guys HAVE to check this place out. Worth every penny🔥

“After a long day of walking through NYC, we decided to try Empire Steak because it was close to our hotel. We had never heard of the restaurant and our expectations were neutral. The filet mignon was one of the best I've ever had! Perfectly seared on the outside, perfectly seasoned and perfectly done. Service was very attentive. “My family and I dined here after a Broadway play as part of our birthday celebration for my wife.

The server and sommelier made it a point to make our experience special and started off our meal with a glass of champagne. Our server, Ben, was excellent and walked us through the menu choices and helped with a few selections and then took great care of us throughout the evening.

The Sommelier, Jazz, helped us pick the perfect bottle of wine based on our wine preferences and within the budget we gave him. He checked back in several times to make sure we were happy with the wine and the meal.

Everything we ordered was excellent, Hamachi, Steak Tartare, Filet, Wagyu Rib Cap, cocktails and desert. We loved it all! When Jonathan, the General Manager, stopped by to say hello and check on us we told him we no longer have to search for a favorite steak house, we just found it.“

“We visited this restaurant this past Saturday and even tho we just gave them a call 40 mins prior arriving, they accommodated us- no wait time. The staff is very attentive, friendly and warm. Every single one of them. We went there with a 4month old and i was a little skeptical but our server, Ali, and Alessandro went above and beyond to make us feel as comfortable as possible and answer to all of our needs and requests.
I loved their pizza, brings you right back to Italy, like rarely you can find in NJ. And the tiramisu!!! OMG!! The best one i have ever had in my whole life!! Definitely will be back!

“The Capital Grille is a special place for me. It was my first great American steakhouse where I was introduced to the science of steaks. It happened many years ago, and since then I've been to many great steakhouses, but Capital Grille will always be a special one for me.
So when deciding on a place to celebrate 3 birthdays with my girlfriends, the Capital Grille was a no-brainer. And it didn't disappoint.
Everything was great - service, food, ambiance. I personally love their wedge salad. It's not a complicated salad, but they do it specifically well.
Our steaks were cooked perfectly as we ordered. The wague fillet mignon was out of this world good. Truffle parmesan fries hit the right spot.
A complimentary dessert was a cherry 🍒 on top.

“Came here with my parents while they were in town and it was a highlight of the trip. Jorge and Nikka were out servers abs they went above and beyond. The food was amazing! We had the rib cap, sea bass, and lamb chops, with mashed potatoes, Caesar salad, Brussel sprouts, and baked potato, and it was all exquisite. The Basque cheesecake was a recommendation we loved, even though we were so full! We'll definitely return and recommend this restaurant to others.“
