“Great place to grab a bite on a Friday night...relaxed and tropical ambience, clean, and plenty of seating. The tropical fruits in the fish dishes were phenomenal...added a nice element to the saltiness of the fish. Only drawback are the portion sizes on the fish. Fairly small for what you're paying...it wasn't terrible but I would have liked a little bigger piece and some more rice. However it wasn't over cooked, very fresh, and lots of flavor. Definitely a place you may want to frequent.“
“The manager and server were attentive, making sure that my son with ASD, and the rest of our party were happy. They prepared my son's food the way it needed to be so my son would eat it. They also had french fries to substitute for the noodles. I hope the manager sees this review. You have no idea what it means to special needs parents to have someone go out of their way for you when they don't have to do it. I thank you all!“
“Best service from beginning to end food was great my best Mother’s Day dinner. Appetizers in time steaks just hit the spot and sides broccoli was my very favorite. Felt like a queen. At some point there was a very rude customer demanding for food screaming at staff went in the kitchen cursing. I understand people have no manners. My table was on the other side off the dining room and I was able too hear him screaming.“
“Tried this place with my family for my sister's birthday. Everything was delicious. For appetizers we tried the calamari, the mussels fra diablo, the clams and the sweet potato fries. Three different steaks were ordered along with the chicken Parmesan, and a lamb that was the daily special. Nothing disappointed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially because I will definitely be going back.“
“Last night, my family and I visited the Roots Steakhouse, Ridgewood location to celebrate a special birthday occasion. We were greeted with impeccable service from our server, who catered to our needs flawlessly. The cuisine, as always, was simply delightful. While enjoying our meal, a small mishap occurred where a drink was accidentally spilled onto the floor, splashing onto my sports coat. The server promptly expressed sincere apologies and notified their supervisor. To our surprise, Larry, the general manager, personally approached our table to offer his sincere apologies and assistance. Despite my reassurances that accidents happen, Larry insisted on arranging for the dry cleaning of my coat and even offered to deliver it to my home. Although I declined his kind offer, Larry ensured that I could submit the dry cleaning bill for reimbursement. As we concluded our meal, we were pleasantly surprised when Larry sent over an assortment of complimentary desserts from the menu. His professionalism and genuine care during this incident were truly commendable. This review is not intended to critique the staff but to express heartfelt gratitude to Larry and his team for their exceptional handling of an unfortunate situation.“
“Great filet mignon - waiter said it comes with string bean but nothing on the side just steak with truffle sauce. Was a hearty portion and cooked perfectly. Not cheap expect to pay 70+ just for steak but quality was perfect. Wines weren’t that expensive. I’d go back to try their prime rib. In comparison Ruth Chris charges a little less for steak but upsells the wines.“
“Allendale steakhouse is such a local gem. The steaks are incredible. Although recently I ordered a 2 1/2 pound lobster and that was superb as well Warm courteous service. We are very fortunate to have this restaurant in our neighborhood.“

The food was great, the steak was cooked to perfection and the fries were incredible. The sauce was salty and the waitress told us to get it on the side and it was so good! “Had issues with the appetizer coming after they served dinner, steak was cold.complained manager came out , apologized. Got a new steak , bake potatoe & soup to go for free. He took the appetizer off the bill. Then met the owner of outback he apologized also very nice. He was very concerned about correcting the issues. Overall outback did the right thing. We're from out of town but we would go back. Thank you B Jones.Wheelchair accessibility: Brought my mother in law in the front with her Walker. There is also a concrete ramp on the side.“
“Place is an absolute diamond in the rough. The food was fantastic, and extremely reasonably priced. Went with 4 friends, had almost every appetizer (which we left nothing behind). Unlike most steakhouses, this place has a more relaxed vibe (ok to wear a hoodie and be comfortable), and also delivered better steaks than I've had a white glove establishments. 1000% recommend, this type of place is not easy to find anymore and needs to be visited. Also met Kathie and Glenn (siblings), who were extremely hospitable and truly know how to show customer appreciation. Will be going back, and bringing more folks to experience with me for sure!“

“We came on Easter Sunday for lunch as a family of 4 adults and 3 children and we were treated like family. The staff was amazing, they checked in on us multiple times and filled our water every time we needed a refill without having to ask. The bread they serve is warm and tasty and the calamari was perfect.Small negatives: the rib eye steak needed seasoning and the shrimp scampi was nothing special, a little salty… my favorite dish was probably the branzino and the Brussels sprouts.I would return!“

“We were there on Easter Sunday. Amazing service, food was prepared to perfection. My hubby and i had NY sirloin and I had filet mignon, they just melted in your mouth. My sister had halibut also excellent. staff very attentive. we had reservations with a slight issue I couldn't climb the steps but within 10 minutes another table was found for us. The best steaks ever and we have eaten in several steakhouses. Nothing compares to Rare. Looking forward to eating their again when it isn't a holiday. If a holiday meal is first class it could only be even more sublime on the next visit. Looking forward to my next meal soon. Dr P“
