“Recently reopened and as we were on our nightly dog walk we decided chicken tenders are always the move. So naturally we popped in. Let me say, crispy juicy flavorful and they don’t skimp on size. They know it matters. Delicious. Will be back often.“

With only a few tables in the restaurant, the service and personal attention were like you were invited into the chef's home for private dining. The table was set beautifully like at a 5-star restaurant and serene spiritual music and videos played to add to the welcoming atmosphere. Now--the food! It was our first time eating Haitian cuisine and everything was made with such high quality and care. From the Soursop drinks (a must!), to the best potato salad I have ever eaten in my life, to the black bean soup, to the snapper, chicken and pork--everything far exceeded our expectations. It was truly a blessing to have stumbling on this gem!“

“I gotta give a big shoutout to Tim tonight, for real. We had a good convo about sports, talking about our favorite teams and chopping it up. My food was already ready when I pulled up, and Tim actually showed me my pizza before handing it to me. That might sound like a little thing, but I’ve been coming here before and that’s never happened. Usually they just hand me the food and I’m out. But tonight the customer service was mad on point. You can definitely feel the difference with the new management. The whole vibe was way better, everybody was more welcoming, and I felt like they actually cared about the customer. I gotta salute y’all for that. 💯 The previous management wasn’t really giving that same energy. Respect to Tim and the new management for looking out and treating people right.“

“You know what, the pizza was good, but I tried those cinnamon things, my goodness, I closed my eyes and I was at a carnival having zeppoles, I didn't even have time to put the icing on them. For a chain it's okay. Go ahead try all that they have, you will be satisfied. MHS.“

“I had the egusi with pounded yam and the jollof rice with beef and plantains, and everything was delicious. The food tasted like a home-cooked meal—fresh, flavorful, and made with care.

The owners showed warm and friendly hospitality. If you're looking for authentic, west African food— I recommend paying Asanka Local a visit.“
