My friends and family raved about the triple chocolate cake i picked up for my sisters birthday and my best friend and i enjoy a quiet breakfast and cafe on the weekends! The decor is so welcoming and bright. It’s a great place to sit, and relax! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious pastries and French imports. “I reached out to Bovelas last minute after I realized that through all the crazy planning of my 25th party, I completely forgot about my cake! I contacted them about a week and a half before my party, super nervous that I was too close and they wouldn’t be able to do it. They excitedly took my order and shared how much they loved the idea for my Brazilian carnival themed birthday. Not only did they make me feel super confident that they would execute my idea perfectly, but they guaranteed that they’d be able to get it done on time. I am super grateful to Bobby the baker and the team over at Bovelas for adding such a special and personalized aspect to my party that was literally the cherry on top of the cake ! lol. “Loved this cute little place!!! My daughter and I were out and about, and wanted to get some coffee, but not from the regular “chain” coffee shop, so after a quick search, we headed to Metuchen. We were lucky enough to get parking right outside, and walked in to be pleasantly surprised by the esthetic vibe. Everything was super clean, and we were greeted right away by the super friendly employee. My daughter ordered a cappuccino and I got iced coffee. “Happen to bump into this bakery, when getting a came for my dad.
We bought a strawberry shortcake, that had other fruits on top. It was so pretty.
I also bought a piece of Mocha Cake because it's my favorite and they actually sold it by the slice, as well.

OMG, my parents, who don't have much of. Sweet tooth loved their cake. My mom, actually went for seconds.

And my Mocha SLICE, WAS AMAZING!!! I've tried several bakeries and most don't really impress me. But this one, MY FAVORITE. I PLAN ON going back to order a personalized Mocha Cake this summer for my birthday. I'm willing to drive the hour to go get it.

Also the bakery was clean, sell plenty of candles, cake toppers, and the staff was nice. I highly recommend.“

Flavor wise? Impeccable. I don't know what it is about these cakes but it was hands down the best cake I've ever had in my life. It was decadent but not too sweet (especially with black frosting, I was pleasantly surprised), perfectly piped frosting, and perfectly light and flavorful strawberries and cream filling. “This is my go to Colombian bakery. I have been a loyal customer since 2012.
Their menu is limited if you are planning to dine in, however, it is quite reliable and consistent. It is pure comfort food.

If you are not that adventurous, I highly recommend their empanadas de carne (beef and potatoes) and pan de bono (cheese bread). Those are usually the favorites of any picky eaters that join us 😁“

“Absolutely my favorite coffee spot in Morristown. Hands down. I started coming here before the Starbucks closed on the Green because it’s so good. Where do I start. The staff are so bright and friendly, the coffee is wildly strong, the pastries are delightful, and the space is lovely and open and light and modern. It’s a quiet joy to sit down on the couch with my iced coffee and a baked good. I always get the Boston cream donut or the Black Forest cake. This is an offshoot of their main Westfield location. Morristown did them dirty, by demolishing the lot in front of them for a quite unnecessary court building project without even telling the owners. Honestly, Morristown does all of us dirty. Constantly all the time. It’s a ton of noise and drives off customers and it’s virtually impossible to find the store unless you’re looking for it. It sucks because I’ve met the owners and they seem like really good people. This is one spot that I genuinely need to stay here and it’s such a delightful place to visit.“

I’m so glad he did. Edo was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuine, we ended up having a great conversation, and he went above and beyond by gifting my boyfriend four cupcakes for his birthday. It truly made his day special.
