“Happen to bump into this bakery, when getting a came for my dad.
We bought a strawberry shortcake, that had other fruits on top. It was so pretty.
I also bought a piece of Mocha Cake because it's my favorite and they actually sold it by the slice, as well.

OMG, my parents, who don't have much of. Sweet tooth loved their cake. My mom, actually went for seconds.

And my Mocha SLICE, WAS AMAZING!!! I've tried several bakeries and most don't really impress me. But this one, MY FAVORITE. I PLAN ON going back to order a personalized Mocha Cake this summer for my birthday. I'm willing to drive the hour to go get it.

Also the bakery was clean, sell plenty of candles, cake toppers, and the staff was nice. I highly recommend.“

“Excellent bakery. Strawberry shortake is my favorite. On some weekends they have focaccia. Heat it up and it is really good. I like their icings, especially on the orange cream cupcake.“

“Loved this cute little place!!! My daughter and I were out and about, and wanted to get some coffee, but not from the regular “chain” coffee shop, so after a quick search, we headed to Metuchen. We were lucky enough to get parking right outside, and walked in to be pleasantly surprised by the esthetic vibe. Everything was super clean, and we were greeted right away by the super friendly employee. My daughter ordered a cappuccino and I got iced coffee. Their staff was incredibly sweet, professional, and all around pleasant. And the cake? Oh my God. I couldn't ask for a better outcome. I provided a reference photo and the result was an exact match. Flavor wise? Impeccable. I don't know what it is about these cakes but it was hands down the best cake I've ever had in my life. It was decadent but not too sweet (especially with black frosting, I was pleasantly surprised), perfectly piped frosting, and perfectly light and flavorful strawberries and cream filling. I will 100% be trusting all my future cakes to la bon from now on!“

“It’s very difficult to find a good Italian bread today. Most Italian breads today are doughy and heavy whereas they should be light and compliment the sandwich. Well, look no further. This bakery has excellent bread, real Italian bread, and the pastries, they’re excellent too.
