50 Best Bakeries near Metuchen

“Loved this cute little place!!! My daughter and I were out and about, and wanted to get some coffee, but not from the regular “chain” coffee shop, so after a quick search, we headed to Metuchen. We were lucky enough to get parking right outside, and walked in to be pleasantly surprised by the esthetic vibe. Everything was super clean, and we were greeted right away by the super friendly employee. My daughter ordered a cappuccino and I got iced coffee. We also got a cheese and pesto savory pastry and a passion fruit and coconut tres leches dessert. Everything was delicious!!!!! Thanks for the enjoyable experience. We will definitely return.“

“Delicious Latin food in town.“

“Along with sweet savory deserts, the owners and staff were so pleasant!!“

“La schiacciata e’ ottima, l’ambiente elegante ed accogliente. Golosi i panini, i dolci ed i croissant!“

“Haisch’s bakery is truly a special place. I've been coming here for over a decade, and it never disappoints. The quality of everything they make is incredible and you can tell they take pride in what they do. The owner / employees are always so friendly and accommodating as well.“

“I reached out to Kavitha on Friday for a last minute rasmillai cake. She was booked up but said she could squeeze it in and have it ready Sunday morning. She was very kind and communicative about the colors and design.
Because it was last minute we just did flowers. I bought edible butterflies from Amazon and stuck them on later. KAVITHA offered to put butterflies on there but they would've been a different color. I really appreciated the service.

To make it even better. The cake was INCREDIBLE. It was flavorful but moist and light. The frosting was airy and a perfect pair to the delicious sweetness of the cake.
We will be ordering from here again. I cant wait to order ahead of time, as the rest of her artistry looks incredible.
I wish I had more photos but 4 of us literally ate the whole cake immediately...“

“If you’re looking for someone to make your kid’s birthday extra special, look no further than Gimme S’more! 💕 I used them for my son’s 5th birthday and I was blown away. The owner was such a great communicator and seriously went above and beyond. She even ordered the monster trucks herself to make my son's cake vision come to life! and let me tell you, a monster truck crashing into the cake is about as cool as it gets for a 5-year-old boy. 🛞💥🎂 My son was obsessed! And the Funfetti cupcakes? Oh. My. Gosh. SO moist, so yummy, and they disappeared faster than I could grab one for myself 😂. To top it off, she delivered everything right to the party which made life 100x easier. Highly recommend!! Gimme S’more CRUSHED 🏁 it! 🧁✨“

“Beautiful array of pastries“

“From price quote, to cake pickup, to eating I had a phenomenal experience. I splurged for my 30th birthday for a custom cake. La Bon was affordable for what I wanted which was amazing. Their staff was incredibly sweet, professional, and all around pleasant. And the cake? Oh my God. I couldn't ask for a better outcome. I provided a reference photo and the result was an exact match. Flavor wise? Impeccable. I don't know what it is about these cakes but it was hands down the best cake I've ever had in my life. It was decadent but not too sweet (especially with black frosting, I was pleasantly surprised), perfectly piped frosting, and perfectly light and flavorful strawberries and cream filling. I will 100% be trusting all my future cakes to la bon from now on!“

“These cakes are AMAZING! My daughter’s school had a fundraiser and our order just came it tonight, first time trying Nothing Bundt Cakes and I wish I would of tried them a long time ago. Cake was so moist and just delicious! No sweet, just perfect. The cream cheese frosting is to die for! Can’t wait to order for my daughter’s birthday next month!“

“I have yet to have a cookie from here that I did not like! I have many favorites including triple chocolate, crumb cake, brookie, and chocolate covered banana, but they are always coming up with new & unique yummy flavors so that could change! I love buying a dozen at once and freezing most of them so I can enjoy them anytime; I’ve kept them as long as a year and they are still delicious.“

“Brenda and Karen made my visit to Paris Baguette such a great experience! They were both so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. During my visit, I also witnessed a difficult interaction with a man, and they remained respectful and professional throughout the situation. I really appreciated how calmly they handled it while continuing to provide great service. Their patience and kindness stood out, Thank you, Brenda and Karen, for making customers feel welcome. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“I love having a Dominican bakery so close. Everything we’ve had there has been FABULOUS!!! Honestly, some of the best coconut macaroons I have ever had and that includes ones I’ve had in DR. I had a coconut tree leches cake, and a strawberry short cake cup, which were both out of this world. The cold brew is so good, and the pumpkin sauce is on point. They’re also super friendly. Next time I need to try the pastelitos (empanadas).“

“Best fruit cake I ever had“

“This place was recommended by someone at the Warren Flea Market. I ordered a Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese on an everything bagel. Came with 3 thin slices of Taylor Ham. Plenty of egg and cheeae throughout the sandwich. It was slightly above average based upon others throughout the state. Service was fantastic and both inside and outside areas were great to eat. I would go back again if in the area.“

“I've tried a couple of mochi donuts here and they are all amazing! Not too sweet and the flavors all hit the mark. I've recently stopped by and noticed they had Christmas themed donuts, which is think is so cute, they would be great to bring to a party or to gift to someone.“

So happy we found this bakery!“

“We cannot say enough wonderful things about our wedding cake! It was absolutely stunning and truly exceeded our expectations. Not only was it one of the most beautiful cakes we’ve ever seen, but it was also delicious! We received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing it tasted.

Vin did such an incredible job bringing our vision to life and putting so much thought and detail into every part of the cake. It was truly a beautiful and memorable part of our wedding day.

I must also mention that he went out of his way to schedule a tasting that accommodated our schedules, which was difficult since we were from out of town. He went above and beyond for us, which speaks volumes about his character.

Thank you so much for creating something so beautiful, delicious, and special for our wedding. We are beyond happy that we chose you and would recommend you to anyone looking for an incredible wedding cake“
