“I was recently in New Jersey for a concert and staying at a hotel for a few nights. My friend and I were looking for a quick bite to eat nearby. We decided to go to this place on a whim and it turned out to be one of the best decisions ever. The atmosphere was incredible. Everyone in there was so cool and the bartender was fantastic and very helpful. She recommended the Jack Daniels burger so we both went with it. When I tell you we both dreamed about this burger for our entire trip. We ended up going back to this place two more times. It was such a great local place with great people. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re ever in the area go there and get the Jack Daniels burger. Talk to the locals. Have a pint and enjoy the vibes. 5/5. 10/10. Incredible.“

“Zupko’s Tavern is a great local spot with a fun and welcoming atmosphere. The food is always tasty—especially their wings and burgers—and the portions are generous. The drinks are well-priced, and the bartenders know how to make you feel right at home. It’s the perfect place to catch a game, grab a meal with friends, or just relax after a long day. “Walked in this weekend for the first time and the female bartender was super friendly and helpful! We just wanted to stop in for a quick app and a beer. We ordered the fries and 2 rounds of beers and the check was super reasonable. We will definitely be back when it is nicer out to sit outside. They have a variety of things on the menu, a pool table, shuffleboard table and electronic darts.“

“Exceptional customer service and the entrees were superb. Our servers were both excellent, Andres and Vivian and their hunky manager, whose name we did not catch. The drinks were very well made, with nice presentation. My wife, Patricia, had a Coconut Mojito and I had two Lemon Martinis (well blended) refreshing and tasty. Order the Calamari as an appetizer. Our entrees were the salmon and the cheese steak. Everything was prepared with a Columbian flare! Ole! You and a culinary delight.“

“Tankys is the spot! These people in the comments below complaining about it being unsafe just have nothing better to do. Other bars right down the block plays music just as loud and stays open just as late. Besides the one incident last year, there aren’t any brawls or fights that happen there. Most ppl that go there are regulars and know each other. To the ppl complaint about it being loud in open late, you have the power to move to another place you knew where you were moving to when you moved there tankys has been there my whole lifeThe drinks are strong and cheap, the vibe is chill, older crowd, when they have a DJ the music is good, u can bring food in, and they have a lil pool table and a parking lot. I been going to tankys for year and never had a bad experience. Occasionally the bartenders be too busy to get to me and I’ll get tired of waiting and leave but that’s all rare.“

Down to earth crowd just all out to have a good time it was a cool vibe a lot of smiling faces .. the chicken wings were off the hook the drinks were good . It is the dive joint you want to check out for sure. They also sell take out. After a hard week at work you can go to this spot and chill among some very Down to earth folks . “Exactly what you would picture a great bar to be! The old classic rustic place with all the classic bottles and drinks as well as cute seasonal twist. Was there for the postseason baseball game and football games! Great choice of music today!“
“This has been my local spot that I've been coming to for about two years now. The drinks are always ice cold and vibes are tremendous. The live bands that perform on the weekends always sound great and add to the environment of what you'd expect from a dive bar. This bar is cash only, but not to worry as they have an ATM. Vanessa, Rachel, Ava, Nichole, Lexi, Alexa, and everyone else that works behind the bar always make you feel welcomed whether it's your first time here, or you're a longtime regular.“

“For a hotel, it certainly was refreshing. Traveling a lot you don't always get the best food selection.
With that said, the crispy Brussels sprouts, OH-EM-GEE. Hear me out. They were the best thing I think I've eaten...in well, ever. It wasn't just the whole Brussels sprout itself, it was mostly the outer skins that was coated in seasonings, oil, and crispy. They were SO GOOD!
I definitely recommend the French Onion soup as well, we had that twice. 😋“

“The place was chilled and I, the bartenders were polite and everything and they was on point. But the I'll go over there is kind of expensive because I wanted one thing and then I had to do a maximum charge of $20. I wanted to buy 3 Coronavirus. One shot at tequila which I didn't really want. I just wanted one beer and just be about my way. But I had to spend like $20 in order to like enjoy myself. Which I didn't really want to do that. So I sat there for a solo couple of familiar faces that I was talking to on the internet and then I kind of got uncomfortable and I just left in debt but over all the atmosphere was dope. The music was great and that's all I can say.“

“It is under New Management has a new owner they call it the after dark lounge hot hot ladies and the street artists walkthrough and very safe environment inside and outside. The owner also owns LaRouge lounge downtown Newark this is a great place to go party.. lastly but not least they have an outside deck with cabanas under construction“

“My wife and I have been patrons and huge fans of Chez Catherine for nearly 30 years. Last Friday, we happily celebrated our 39th anniversary there with another very fine lunch. It's always a pleasure to be greeted like old friends by owner Stephane Bocket and seated at what we think is the best table in the tastefully decorated, elegant restaurant. We both chose the prix fixe menu. For starters, my wife had the always terrific moules and I a lovely mixed salad. We both chose beef bourguignons for our main course and asked Stephane to suggest wine from the by-the-glass list. His selections of a chablis for my wife and pinot noir for me worked perfectly with the outstanding bourguignons. We finished by sharing a delicious Baba au Rhum, prepared by Stephane at tableside. Dining at Chez Catherine is always a special event to us. Everything about it is first class. If you are unfamiliar with Chez Catherine, it has been one of New Jersey's Top 5 restaurants for nearly 40 years. We recommend it highly and urge lovers of fine dining to not wait but reserve a table NOW. We're sure you'll find it to be as special as we do.“
