“I was recently in New Jersey for a concert and staying at a hotel for a few nights. My friend and I were looking for a quick bite to eat nearby. We decided to go to this place on a whim and it turned out to be one of the best decisions ever. The atmosphere was incredible. Everyone in there was so cool and the bartender was fantastic and very helpful. She recommended the Jack Daniels burger so we both went with it. When I tell you we both dreamed about this burger for our entire trip. We ended up going back to this place two more times. It was such a great local place with great people. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re ever in the area go there and get the Jack Daniels burger. Talk to the locals. Have a pint and enjoy the vibes. 5/5. 10/10. Incredible.“

The bar area is enormous and a great place to unwind after a rough day. I even come here with my laptop and work from time to time. And the food is delicious! Sure, places like this won’t have the same vast selection as a Total Wine or Joe Canal, but the owners have always been able to order me anything I need and will even stock it regularly if it gets a following. Come support this wonderful local business, order a cocktail and some wings, and get to know the regular crew on both sides of the bar!“

Although I visit there often and it has become like a second home where you visit family when you enter, the NYE celebration last night was so fun! The pre fix menu was full of options and the pricing was so fair. The drinks are always served cold and well prepared. Renee and Courtney were up beat and on point and made the evening even more enjoyable. “Walked in this weekend for the first time and the female bartender was super friendly and helpful! We just wanted to stop in for a quick app and a beer. We ordered the fries and 2 rounds of beers and the check was super reasonable. We will definitely be back when it is nicer out to sit outside. They have a variety of things on the menu, a pool table, shuffleboard table and electronic darts.“

“Exceptional customer service and the entrees were superb. Our servers were both excellent, Andres and Vivian and their hunky manager, whose name we did not catch. The drinks were very well made, with nice presentation. My wife, Patricia, had a Coconut Mojito and I had two Lemon Martinis (well blended) refreshing and tasty. Order the Calamari as an appetizer. Our entrees were the salmon and the cheese steak. Everything was prepared with a Columbian flare! Ole! You and a culinary delight.“

Other bars right down the block plays music just as loud and stays open just as late. Besides the one incident last year, there aren’t any brawls or fights that happen there. Most ppl that go there are regulars and know each other. “Posted up in the center of the pub. Me and these two mad lads started drilling. Ice was about 4 inches and ol' Stout was struggling to breach through the ice. After a few minutes of turmoil he was finally able to break and we heard the glorious rush of the water gushing like a foutian out of the portal to the dark unknown. We stood there conquistadors above a murky gold; fish. We set our thrones upon the ice and readied our rods. Our mouths watering at the thought of the first fish. With bait and hand a glee in our hearts we awaited the first bite. But folks, as everyone knows, fishing isn't about the catch nor the side of the fish. But it's the spot and the friends we make along the way. We caught no fish, not even ol' Stout. But we had a splendid time, and like the conquistadors of old we left with nothing. “This has been my local spot that I've been coming to for about two years now. The drinks are always ice cold and vibes are tremendous. The live bands that perform on the weekends always sound great and add to the environment of what you'd expect from a dive bar. This bar is cash only, but not to worry as they have an ATM. “For a hotel, it certainly was refreshing. Traveling a lot you don't always get the best food selection.

With that said, the crispy Brussels sprouts, OH-EM-GEE. Hear me out. They were the best thing I think I've eaten...in well, ever. It wasn't just the whole Brussels sprout itself, it was mostly the outer skins that was coated in seasonings, oil, and crispy. They were SO GOOD!

I definitely recommend the French Onion soup as well, we had that twice. 😋“

“I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Newark Airport hotel in Elizabeth NJ 08-09JAN2026 for a business trip. I was a little concerned that there were no other nearby restaurants to the hotel, so I decided to try the TKP Bar & Grill within the hotel. The restaurant was small and had limited food options. However, Willie the bartender was very nice and my Caesar salad with salmon was very good. The salmon was crispy on the outside and tender inside, so I was pleasantly surprised at my great meal inside the hotel. Thanks Willie and the kitchen staff for a nice evening!“
