“For my birthday my son and I ordered our dinner for takeout. Absolutely delicious. I had the avocado salad appetizer special (enough for two) and the Gnocchi Bolognese special (enough for two) and my son had Chicken Parmesan. The bread was fantastic as well - still some leftover. We ate in our dining room with my china. A special night for sure. Thank you Trattoria Tuscana! (we look forward to our leftovers as well)“

“I love food. I love to eat it. I love to cook it. But food to me has always been more than just something to eat. I like to study process. Fun to me is to be able to be in a restaurant kitchen and talk to the chef while he’s making a dish. I want to be able to see what he’s doing and ask about it. Why are you taking the dish off the fire so quickly? Why are you using canned peeled tomatoes rather than fresh? I want to know everything. To me, process can be just as exciting as being presented with the beautiful and delicious final product. This evening, I stopped at an unusual pasta restaurant - All' Assassina. https://www.allassassina.com/ They call themselves the killer pasta project. It’s different. It has an open kitchen. The small dining room is colorful – eye catching. You go up to the front and order your pasta. You decide what will be added in – mushrooms, capers, tomatoes, chicken, olives and more. And then the chef makes it right in front of you. The owner told me that not everybody watches. They’re missing out. This restaurant is offering dinner and a show. And the cooking here is a performance. You get to see what goes into your food and how it is made. It gives you an additional appreciation for what you are about to savor. All the senses go on alert. You could see it. You could hear it in the pan and you could smell it. If you are anywhere near Union, New Jersey, check out All' Assassina. But do not just order and walk away. Look. Listen. And learn. Not everybody likes to cook. But everyone should like to learn. The more you know about what’s in your food and how it is prepared, the more you’ll appreciate good food. The tastes, the textures. Wow. There was an avalanche of different flavors hitting my mouth all at once. It’s worth a trip. Go for the meal. Stay for the show.“

“This is our favorite place… This is the side of meatballs and Ziti Norcina with homemade sausage. I have tried many different pasta dishes and love them all. It’s hard to choose when I get there. “Oh man… where to start. The service was phenomenal, great recommendations, great atmosphere, the owner, Ms. Dana greeted us with a smile, Nikki the manager was great to deal with. Now the food… I had the special, “The Gobbler” and it was unbelievably tasty. The crunch from the toasted bread, the flavors all together were a symphony on my taste palette. My gf got the “Toni Ann” and she couldn’t talk while we were eating together because she wouldn’t stop stuffing her face. After she said the chicken cutlet was cooked perfect, mozzarella was fresh, peppers were exquisite. Overall experience was just mind-blowing. I’d recommend Ferraro’s to any person, local or travelers, you NEED to stop and eat here.“

“A true gem of restaurants in Livingston, NJ. The delicious food reminds me of the fantastic food we tasted in Italy. This is very different from most Italian restaurants in America. The presentation of the food is superb and the food is amazing. Be prepared for an epicurean feast followed by delectable dessert. Prices are very reasonable, in addition.“

“I'm an Italian-American grown in Brooklyn, NY, where exceptional Italian restaurants abound, and now living in NJ. Suppa's is at the top of Italian restaurants I have eaten in. No shortcuts on ingredients and preparation. I've eaten there about half a dozen times and have never been disappointed. Broccoli Rabe, eggplant, meatballs, sausage, various pastas, to name just a few, all take me back to my Italian mother's cooking. Love it.!“

“Back in October, we had a surprise 30th birthday dinner for my daughter with a party of 22 people. The waitress was spectacular. The staff and owners were veryaccommodating and the food was delicious. They allowed us to come ahead of time to decorate. The event turned out wonderful!!!“

“When we decided to make a reservation here I was concerned because the parking situation in Madison is difficult. IlGoccino has parking in the rear of the restaurant so it was fine. The staff were warm and welcoming and they honored our reservation on arrival. The food was excellent - the salmon cooked to perfection and the chicken was tender and delicious as well. We certainly will return.“

I can’t thank Sergio enough for the personal tasting, a chef kitchen table unbelievable!
The menu was right on point, orzo was addictive. The eggplant balls I never even knew it was a thing, now I can’t wait to come and get a dozen with a big container of sauce! The ricotta and mozzarella were delicious, perfect with the meatballs and eggplant. The penne with vodka sauce oh my goodness, I wish my son was there too, It’s his favorite.
The look on Santi’s face when he was eating the filet and then the shrimp biggest smile he had all night. The artichoke and veggies so delicious! Both of the chicken dishes looked so good. I was almost tempted and you know Sabrina and I are both vegetarian, but I think she actually took a bite!
Not sure if you saw us, but with each plate, it was an oh my goodness you have to taste!

“Anticipation was that I am going to an old school Italian restaurant with 90 years tradition. And that was exactly what I encountered. Simplified old look, polite and hospitable workers, and good food. Portions are ridiculously large. One of the times I went was during their September Wednesday deals when you can order a pasta and get another one for 1$, and I expected due to promotion that servings might be slightly smaller. Since I ate one and brought the other one home, I measured it and it was 3.2 Lbs portion!!!
Oh yeah, it's BYOB, so bring some wine to complement your food“

“Excellent food and service. Was in town for a wedding and tried this place the evening before. Chicken piccata was great, two large flat breasts with a great sauce and plenty of capers. The vodka penne was even better and very light sauce. One of our party ordered the pork chop and said it was the best chop he had ever eaten. The sashimi tuna appetizer was excellent and was enough for a meal for a light eater. Very attentive service, my water glass was refilled anytime I took more than two sips. Complimentary bread and small thin crust cheese pizza while waiting. Not a large place but they take reservations. Definitely would return.“

“Wonderful, consistently good food in a friendly atmosphere. Because it is popular, it can be a bit noisy. The inability to make a reservation is a detriment but makes us eat early. They do m charge fir bread, but it is a very wonderful peasant bread worth the extra cost.“

“Wow. Today we celebrated my grandson’s Christening at Enzzo’s. Perri and Dominique were amazing hosts for our party of 24. Service and attentiveness were amazing. It only gets better…. The appetizers and main dishes really steal the show. The Bruschetta, Antipasto and Garlic shrimp were exquisite. Then the Eggplant Rolatini, Penne ala Vodka and Chicken Perri were devine. Not only were Anthony and Donna so nice and accommodating, but the food was out of this world! I cannot recommend Anthony's food, and service, more highly. “It's always a delight to eat at Bruno's Bistro. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly. We're visiting family and getting to eat delicious, freshly prepared food. Some of our favorites are the cheese gnocchi with crabmeat in vodka sauce, short ribs, and the paroadelle bolognese. The pistachio dessert is to die for. “My friend and I are always looking for new restaurants to try and keep a log of places we see on Facebook or Instagram. Casa Nostra was next on our list to try and we were not disappointed.
The place is small and cozy, we called to see if we could get a reservation since it was a Saturday evening, they were able to accommodate us at 7:30. When we arrived we did not have to wait to be seated, the table was ready. The server provided us with menus and asked if we needed our bottle of wine to be opened. Server came back with bread for us and apologized that they were unable to warm it, explained and apologized that they were having issues with the bread warmer. The bread was fine as it was. The owner (chef) came out to take our orders we ordered the special fig appetizer to share, the portion was certainly large enough for 2 people and was very good. For entrees we had the Shrimp Risotto and Lobster Ravioli both were extremely good and nice sized portions. We were too full for dessert. One nice thing about this restaurant was that they did not rush you - there was adequate time between receiving the appetizer and entree which I thoroughly enjoyed as many times the entrees come out way too close to the appetizers. I will definitely be returning again.“

“I’m a big fan of shouting businesses out when they do something great so that they get even more support from their community and continue to be successful as a business. That being said… A huge shout-out to Arca in Lincoln Park. We were supposed to spend Thanksgiving at my brother’s house, but our daughter was unexpectedly hospitalized the night before Thanksgiving. Arca was hosting a free Veterans Thanksgiving event that was dine-in only (my husband is a vet) but they were kind enough to prepare a free to-go meal for us so we could enjoy Thanksgiving lunch with our daughter at the hospital since we couldn’t be with extended family. Everything was incredible. If you can, please visit and support this amazing restaurant. My family and I definitely will, and our district’s PTA will be there next week for our holiday social. Truly wonderful people.“
