“I honestly felt bad seeing Sumu’s Kitchen so empty when we walked in, because the food turned out to be absolutely amazing. This is genuinely one of those hidden gems that deserves a lot more attention.

What impressed me the most was how fresh everything was. Nothing tasted like it came out of a freezer or had been sitting around for hours. Everything we ordered was freshly made to order, and you could really taste the difference.

We tried the bondas, onion pakoda, dosa, Hakka noodles, mirchi bajji, and gobi Manchurian, and every single dish was delicious. The bondas and pakodas were hot, fresh, and crispy, the dosa was excellent, and the Hakka noodles and gobi Manchurian were especially good. And the coffee was sooo good — definitely don’t skip it!

Another big shout-out to Ganesh, the manager. He handled everything so well and was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The way he took care of the customers and managed the orders, you would honestly think he was the owner. That kind of personal attention made the experience even better.

If you’re visiting BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham, this place is a gem right outside and absolutely worth stopping by. Especially if you’re vegetarian and looking for fresh, flavorful Indian food, please give Sumu’s Kitchen a try. Places serving food this fresh deserve to be busy!”

Friendly service, authentic, and food that seriously satisfied. Went with the mixed döner with their chocolate Baklava and it was everything I’d hoped for. “It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. He patiently explained the intricacies of each delicacy which helped us understand the complexity of the cuisine's varied flavors. To be actually seated (for hours) and served at the table greatly enhanced the culinary experience. We have rarely, if ever, felt that we have consumed a feast - but now, can proudly say so - because of Mr. Matthew and our experience at Kochi. Sometimes delis give you the rush treatment just trying to get through a line but everyone working was so friendly and patient and explained which coolers and chips were included with our subs. Even asked if we were packing our sandwiches in a cooler so they could be wrapped in plastic to avoid becoming soggy! Staff was speaking so kindly to each other behind the counter. The power went out in the entire city after we were served our first course. We were served our entrees in the dark, with the same elegance, as of nothing had occurred. Even with the unfortunate circumstances, we were treated like royalty by the entire staff, and had an exceptional dining experience. I will be dreaming of the escarole, until I have it again. “Went to Mission BBQ at Hamilton Marketplace in Hamilton, NJ on a Friday about 4 pm. Not many people there but more came in as we were eating. We were greeted as we came in. Guy behind the counter was patient with us as we decided what to order. We ordered barbecued shrimp (8 pieces in the order) and salmon ( a nice sized portion). We also ordered a salad to share (nice sized portion). Food came quickly and we really enjoyed it. A server named Justice was in the dining room and was very attentive. Overall, we really enjoyed it and plan to return.”
