“I went to Harvey’s this evening and honestly had such a great experience! The food was super fresh, tasty, and made exactly how I wanted it. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better.

The place was very clean and well taken care of—you can tell they really pay attention to hygiene and keeping everything neat. It felt comfortable eating there and I really enjoyed my meal.“

“Dined in for lunch, the place was hopping! All 6 of us got all our meals, hot and delicious. love that rib sauce on the side! And we didn’t have to ask for pop refills (a huge part of the tip calculation) Such friendly staff, so busy but nice, unlike the Karen whining about one small forgotten item, which was quickly provided with profound apologies, but missus wanted blood. I felt so bad for the young server. Other than that customer, we had a great time! Will definitely be back!“

“I tend to visit different local restaurants weekly as a small treat during a long work week. With limited selection of restaurants my feedback is mostly based on the environment and friendliness of the server during my time spent there. As it is common for me to dine alone during lunch the bar staff is usually my point of contact!

Alyssa was the wonderful server I had the pleasure of having during my most recent visit. She was friendly, responsive and engaging. Staff like this is the backbone of any restaurant. Of course the food must be on par, which it certainly was, but in my opinion, without good personable service even the best of foods can leave a bad taste in your mouth. 5 stars for Alyssa!“

“They be p-p-pushin the Salt n Peppa burger real good! It had the juiciest meat, perfect pickles, shredded lettuce and tomato with the right amount of sauce all between a melt in your mouth brioche bun! Definitely one of the best burgers I've tasted. The guy taking our order was super nice and the boys in the back looked like they were having a blast! I was too full from the single patty burger to eat my poutine so that's a treat to be savored later :) 🍔🍟🤤“

“I went here with my husband last night on our first date in a long while without the children :). I love, love, LOVE the old brick and wood "tavern" style atmosphere of the pub. The dim lighting and dark decor make the pub feel very cozy, historic and romantic. We sat across from the bar in a little booth next to the old-fashioned Hearth which was lovely. I had the Newfoundland Fish and Chips which was utterly delicious!! The fish was perfect, not to wet, not too dry and it had two generous portions with not too much batter and a delicate flavour without being greasy. The fries were tasty as well and definitely not the frozen, store-bought variety too many restaurants go with. I washed it all down with a beautiful Landwash beer and to top it all off, our waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the TV (playing sports)...it felt really out of place there. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back soon!!!“

“This was our first time having Karen as our server I have since had her again and she did not disappoint, we went to celebrate my sister in laws birthday, she struggles with addiction and it is visable and we were nervous about taking her out because she does take a while to make decisions etc but we couldnt have asked for a more patient server than her very understanding and very personable. She even honored my substitutes on my veggie burger and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you so very much for being a genuine person karen ❤️“

“Very cute spot that feels plucked right out of the 1990s. Glad to see that this kinda place can still survive in today’s climate even if only by nostalgia. The service was friendly and the food was solid for what it was, classic pub food with a bit of a Tex-Mex twist. Not a Newfoundlander by birth so can speak on this without being influenced by childhood memories, the place isn’t exactly fine dining but it’s more than solid for what it is!“

“Swiss Chalet on stavanger is my favorite place to eat. I don’t live close to it and drive past 2 other Swiss Chalets that are way closer to me because of the consistent excellent quality of the food and service at stavanger. Today’s meal was led by Karen and involved “Eat in”, “take out” and a “baby”, everything was Done to complete perfection and justifies the reason for the longer drive to get there. She should be recognized for her efforts.“

“With the World Juniors finishing late, it was difficult to find a bar close by that was open until the end of the game, but Bigs ended up being a great place to watch. The staff were lovely and attentive, the TVs were big, and they happily kept the Hockey on the one closest to us instead of the godawful American football that was on other screens. Tasty wings too.“
