“Tonight I went out to dinner for my moms birthday and to celebrate the launch of her first business. Our sever Matt made what is always an amazing experience at Olivers into an OUTSTANDING one. Not only did he have a fun personality but he also helped sing happy birthday to my mom, which made her night 100%. Would recommend checking out Oliver’s for your next special night out, especially with Matt as your server. Plus the desserts are mouth watering.“

The Xmas steak special was divine. Cooked to perfection, and the seafood tasted out of this world. “Had the Batter's Box. It came to $29 with a drink. It included 6 pieces of chicken, taters or fries, 2 biscuits and gravy. It wasn't anything to write home about. Could barely taste any seasoning on the chicken or taters and if you don't like dark meat it's a total waste of money. There was only one white piece. The rest was wings and thighs and 1 leg. I can't comment on the biscuit as I never even bothered to try it. ?“

“Overall, we really enjoyed our experience. We had the onion rings and calamari to start. Both were excellent. Both of us had the halibut as our main course. It was a generous portion of fish. The sauce and accompaniments were very tasty. We found the staff very attentive. The other couple we were with seem to really enjoy their food as well with the exception that one of the people ordered the beef tenderloin medium and it was at most medium rare in the centre definitely rare. I would suggest that if you were ordering the beef, you order it no more than medium rare because it is a thick cut.“

“We stopped in because we wanted to have the cod tongues. They were delicious and by far the best we have tasted on our travels in Newfoundland. The chowder and pan fried cod also were fabulous. Taylor, our server, was friendly and answered all our questions about the menu and it was her who recommended the pan fried cod. “Kelly's Pub on George is exceptional. Kelly’s Pub on George. Tonight my husband and I stepped out for a bite to eat to celebrate our 36 year anniversary. We stopped by Kelly’s and enjoyed the pan fried cod with baked potatoe and scrunchions. It was beyond delicious. We finished our meal with their homemade berry cheesecake. It was phenomenal.
