“Tonight I went out to dinner for my moms birthday and to celebrate the launch of her first business. Our sever Matt made what is always an amazing experience at Olivers into an OUTSTANDING one. Not only did he have a fun personality but he also helped sing happy birthday to my mom, which made her night 100%. Would recommend checking out Oliver’s for your next special night out, especially with Matt as your server. Plus the desserts are mouth watering.“

“This wonderful and spectacularly located restaurant was recommended to me by numerous people who are familiar with the St. John's dining scene. The coffee on offer was a standard drip blend, but given this is not a coffee focussed café, It was robust and delicious.

The location of this café affords a spectacular view of St. John's, signal Hill, and out towards Cape Spear. The service was attentive, informative, and extremely friendly. My entree of fish cakes was beautifully presented and perfectly spiced.

This café is an absolutely beautiful addition to this spectacular gallery showcasing so many aspects of Newfoundland art and culture.“

“Very cute spot that feels plucked right out of the 1990s. Glad to see that this kinda place can still survive in today’s climate even if only by nostalgia. The service was friendly and the food was solid for what it was, classic pub food with a bit of a Tex-Mex twist. Not a Newfoundlander by birth so can speak on this without being influenced by childhood memories, the place isn’t exactly fine dining but it’s more than solid for what it is!“

“Had the Batter's Box. It came to $29 with a drink. It included 6 pieces of chicken, taters or fries, 2 biscuits and gravy. It wasn't anything to write home about. Could barely taste any seasoning on the chicken or taters and if you don't like dark meat it's a total waste of money. There was only one white piece. The rest was wings and thighs and 1 leg. I can't comment on the biscuit as I never even bothered to try it. ?“
