Very nice gentleman answered the phone and met us at the door. We were looking for Chimayo chili powder. Very pleasant service and and help. We'll be back.
A holiday shout-out to Los Chileros! I went to visit my good friend in Santa Fe this past summer. While I was there, I purchased some of their spice packets in a gift shop downtown. Specifically, I grabbed the Pueblo chicken rub and Abiquie steak marinade. WHOA. Delicious. When I got home from our trip, I was sad I did not have more. So... I ordered some online, how convenient! While at an Airbnb in Santa Fe recently, we had a local chef come and cook a wonderful New Mexican meal for our group of 6. The pork tenderloin was absolutely the best I’ve ever had so I asked her for her recipe. It was a pork tenderloin that had been marinated in achiote paste. Her specific words were, “I only use the Los Chileros brand”! She told me I could get it in a few of the local specialty shops there; time got away from me and I never made it to the store.
