“Been coming here for two years in a row now and their breakfast burritos don't miss 11/10. I always pick one up on the way to the mountain and eat it after parking and suiting up!Parking: Lots of space -- easier to back in to help with pulling out while cars are coming around the blind turn.Kid-friendliness: Nice seating in the back, behind the store along the creek.“
“If you are in the market for some truly incredible hot drinks to start the day right or for boost after a long day of skiing, Black Diamond is the place to go. They make a wide variety of drinks out of quality products and expertly roasted grounds. Black Diamond also caters well to dietary needs and drink customizations. Hot chocolate, mochas, lattes, and macchiatos - all are delicious and infused with Taos flare. My personal favorite are their macchiatos. A TRUE macchiato with rich espresso and a float of foam on top, this drink has a deep espresso flavor with notes of chocolate. The prices are comparable to most high-end coffee shops but for the incredible drinks that you get, it's so worth it (move over, Starbucks). Be sure to ask for a rewards card when you go to get those stamps and begin working towards free drinks! Sitting slope side by one of the fire pits is only made better by having a Black Diamond drink in your hand.“
“Drip coffee tastes watered down. It’s not very diluted but it doesn’t seem strong. Place is pretty dark without a lot of natural light in the morning, but plenty outdoor seating. Decor is cute. People come here for a light breakfast/lunch.“
“Clark and his team are all so extremely nice. My new favorite drink as of this morning is the beet, berry w/yogurt and protein. I'm definitely making Taos Java my weekly stop. thank you T.J. for being here for all of us lucky coffee peeps.“
“Absolutely incredible. Every aspect of this operation is dialed and intentional. I cant remember being so impressed or satisfied at a food establishment in recent memory. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful with menu and wine. I will definitely be back. Wine selection is the best you will find within a few state region. ? all around, thanks for having us ?“
“When I was stationed up in Tres Piedras May-August 2021 for Forest Service, this was my absolute favorite haunt in town. My main barista was named Mary and we became fast friends because she was so personable, helpful, hilarious, always eager to serve, and wonderful to just talk to. She left soon after my seasonal position ended, but all other baristas are equally kind and dedicated to pleasant experiences. They make fantastic drinks, carry amazing treats, and have the coolest atmosphere of local art covering the walls and always rotating. The owner has land that he uses the coffee grounds to help the soil and several art pieces in the place have coffee grounds saved by the owner, used by local artists. He has an eco-friendly focus, and the place also uses straws made from natural materials (the best ones were bamboo). Dog friendly (met several dog friends), indoor and outdoor seating, free wi-fi, and plenty of power outlets. Absolutely great place for students, business, and all around leisure with a lovely patio to boot.I miss this place and always try to stop in whenever I end up back in Taos. Please give it a try! (I will add more photos later)Dietary restrictions: Alternative non-dairy milks and gluten free dessertsParking: Often busy but usually a few spots always available“
“Nestled into a little area with some shops, pond and gardens this place is a gem. Very welcoming and great service. My vanilla latte was outstanding with super flavorful espresso. Their cinnamon rolls are yummy, my friend and I split a breakfast burrito which was very good. Do the Christmas style sauce, you won't regret it!“
“Our Mercy Chefs team is in Taos feeding wildfire victims and first responders. We’ve been eating KOKO pastries almost every morning and they are amazing! Best gluten free Morning Glory muffin I’ve ever had. And the coffee is out of this world! Our team of professional chefs is impressed!“
“This is an excellent place to eat. The food is amazing, fresh, and done with care and perfectly. The coffee, rich and hot. The staff fun, kind and friendly. But…..I love the setting, and area makes for an amazing dinning experience. 5 stars all day long!“
