“Enjoyable roadside haunt. I really enjoyed my Huevos Divorciados at La Patrona. Yes, I know it was lunch, but hey it was super good. I had asked for "Christmas" and got a nice amount of red and green chili on my food. I shared a "steak" taco from one of the family and used a tiny packet of "red sauce" to enhance the flavor. Boy, that red chili sauce was ear steaming hot! The heat didn't mask the flavor of the meat or the avocado in the taco... but I know where they got the inspiration for the steam out of the ears in cartoons now.“
“It's all delicious, I like it a lot but on two occasions I've had pebbles in the beans that doesn't mean I'll stop buying at El Charro since it's very much to my liking... But please clean the beans well the first time there were almost no leftovers without tooth “
“Delicious! Maria and her husband made our meal fresh. While we were waiting the smells were overwhelming my taste buds. The meal arrived and it was even better than anticipated!hot The refried beans had some whole beans, good idea. The tacos asada were freshly grilled. !Thank you, just what we needed to fill our bellies.“
“Heavenly. The flavour profile and spice was perfect. Got the white girl palate friendly tacos asada. 4 tacos for $10Parking: From the NP, turn left at the lights and come into the parking by going around the corner. The left is just before the lights and was very dicey w the busy hwy!“

“First thing you should know is they give you a LOT of food for the value. Be prepared for delicious leftovers. The brisket plate was amazing. The brisket itself was cooked perfectly... tender, juicy, smokey flavor, smoke ring, and a tasty bark. The BBQ sauce is unique; it seemed to be a fusion of traditional BBQ sauce with some Mexican salsa influence. It was delicious. The plate came with two sides, a pickled jalapeno, and diced onions. We chose Spanish rice and potato salad for the sides. We really liked the Spanish rice, especially mixed with a little of their salsa roja (extra charge). The potato salad was above average, definitely homemade. We also got smoked pork ribs, smoked chicken, and armadillo eggs which are jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese then wrapped with spiced hamburger, bacon, and BBQ sauce. The pork ribs were some of the best I have eaten, and I have had a lot of BBQ. The ribs were huge, almost the size of beef ribs. The ribs were cooked perfectly, just shy of fall-off-the-bone. The BBQ sauce and the ribs were my favorite. The pinto beans were also super tasty. The armadillo eggs were also some of the best I've tried. The owners, David and Beatrice (Bee), were super friendly.“
