“We had never been here before. I get the weekly tasting menu emails and always wanted to try one. This menu did not disappoint! 3 of us got almost one of everything on the tasting menu. Of course, we tasted everyone's choice! Everything was delicious! My favorite was the fall salad, followed by the wine poached pear. We will definitely return for the tasting menu!“

We have now visited many times and tried numerous creations, including some of the vegan options. We always imagine her recipes being shared amongst family weddings and neighbors in Italy. It tasted like my Italian great grandmas came to my kitchen today, what a treat. Nothing was artificial or too sweet, the store displays looked fresh and overall lovely. We tried 4 different items today, all 10/10! Highly recommend.“

“Tucked away small bakery, family and locally ran with reasonable prices. My kiddos loved their goodies! If you find yourself in Rio Rancho give them a try! They do a cars and coffee thing there on Sundays I believe too!“

“Trash bizcochitos that taste like sand. Way overpriced for average food. You can get the same quality in any Walmart bakery. Also the person who responds on Google decides that bad reviews must be lies. Call me a plebian with no taste if you can't handle criticism after 55 years in the business but don't pretend that there's no possible way someone couldn't like your dismal food so they must be lying. Go literally anywhere else for bizcochitos or coffee milkshakes or empanadas and you'll be doing better. If you just want to support local, you can't go wrong here.“

They were busy, so I expected a wait but it was soooooo long, and they run out of the popular ones so quick I would think they'd prepare a bit more. Again, the people were super nice and doing their best but I was a little disappointed nonetheless.“

“I have lived in the area for four years and have never visited. I finally dropped in this week to order a sandwich. Unfortunately, they stop serving sandwiches after 5 PM. However, they were super gracious and offered me a generous sample of bread with delicious honey butter. I purchased their blue ribbon, blueberry coffee cake, which was reasonably priced as as well as delicious. It was frankly the best pastry I’ve ever had in the city. In addition to their friendly service and delicious bread and pastries, they also have a great selection of mustard, honey, as well as pancake mix and all sorts of other goodies. I will definitely be back for sandwiches at a reasonable hour. I highly recommend this place.“

“The absolute BEST dessert I’ve ever had in my life! First, they were all so beautifully designed it was hard to pick just one! Second, the owners were so incredibly kind and told us in detail how the desserts were made. They have so much pride in their work and it’s wonderfully artistic!! Third, I went with the filled Cronut, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it all weekend!! Loved it so much I went back two days later for another one! Excellent job!!!“

“My family chose A Heavenly Taste for our first grandchild’s baby shower. I had purchased a special bundle which came with a variety of desserts perfect for the dessert table. I gave inspo photos and some direction but ultimately we left it to the artist. This was not a mistake as she knew the assignment! My only regret was not ordering extras. “We got there just before closing and it smelled delicious. The owner was putting things up for the day but brought out the pastries for us to pick from. We bought the cross between the croissant and blueberry muffin, cinnamon roll and pistachio croissant. They were all so good and Shawn was a remarkable business owner. Even if you have to go out of your way, if you are any where around Albuquerque stop in Old Town and get a delightful pastry made from one of the best pastry chef around. I cant wait to go back. Flying RoadRunner Bakery rocks.“
