Legit coffee shop. Bagels are locally sourced. I stop here a few times a year when I drive between Albuquerque and Phoenix. It’s a highlight of the drive. That and the cacti just outside Phoenix.

Step aside Starbucks.For those traveling I-40 with little time to explore, but who prefer not to support the chains, Gallup Coffee Company is THE local coffee shop in town, in a historic building, in the heart of a historic district, one block from Route 66, with easy free street parking. To stock up on road food, a block and half west from GCC is La Montañita, a branch of New Mexico's leading community-owned natural foods market.

Gallup Coffee Company is awesome! There are not may high quality coffee shops nowadays, but their crew is pro! The did an amazing job with the historic restoration of the building too. The honey infused jasmine tea is delicious. Definitely go here if you are downtown Gallup.
