Love love the red enchiladas with an egg over easy and the MIXTA is to die for....relleno, taco, tamale, enchilada, beans and rice....the family owned folks, are just wonderful.....the food the best. Homemade chips and salsa too.“

“Got the house special and it is a great way to try a little bit of everything. Red chile sauce is delicious and represents NM fare very well. The hidden gem is the carnitas. Order them crispy and you won't go wrong. Service is fast and friendly which is always a plus. Seems like they know the locals well and treat out of town visitors nicely.“

“We liked this stop. We ordered the tacos. They were small and soft with plenty of meat. Cash only as was already stated. You can walk up and there is seating nearby where you can eat outside. I'd like more flavor in the meats but overall I like it. Next time I think I'll try the quesadillas.“

“We celebrated a birthday in the outdoor space attached to Taste of Vegas. The owner set up tables and chairs for 15 people, as one long table, in what is best described as an oasis. We were cozy and undisturbed under the canopy of a large climbing vine, shaded on a very hot day.

We were expecting to do a lot of running back and forth, but the staff was extraordinary. A friendly and efficient gal met our every need, and the kitchen crew was completely on point.

“Small town restaurant with MEGA HUGE flavors. It's specializes in Mexican, Salvadorian and American cuisine. Everything from tacos to pupusas to burgers and in between. You walk in get that very homey feel. You sit down they greet you with menus and ask you what you want to drink. I ordered the Menudo a Mexican staple. If you ever go to a down home Mexican restaurant like this and they have Menudo you must try it. Cause it's a great judge of how the restaurant fairs (at least in my opinion). It came out in a nice big bowl with a side of chopped onions and lemon with a basket of crackers. The broth was a earthy tone in color which is exactly what you want to see. It had big pieces of tripe in it and a great amount of hominy as well. One bite and it was exploding with flavor. No to spicy but just the right amount of heat that you would expect. The tripe cooked beautifully and the hominy delicious as well. My father got the pupusas plate and he tore it up as well. We both very much enjoyed ourselves and I'd ask my father to take me back next time I go for a home visit.“

They have some of the best specials for us that have limited $$ to spend, but would still enjoy an evening out of our own kitchens.
