“Visited this restaurant a number of years ago and it was awful. The staff was grumpy and was an overall terrible experience. I'm from out of town and decided to give it another try and I have to say that the new owners, management and staff have turned this place around. “This sandwich joint has consistently been good. The baguettes taste fresh, the meats are flavorful, and the sauce ratio is spot on. Their sides are good too! My only gripe is that they close at 4:00pm, but that’s fine for lunch. It’s worth trying if you’re tired of your normal lunch routine!“

The food was good I had the Apollo 11 (greek) the dishes themselves were good; I went with my family we each got something different and each of us enjoyed the food. They were both super friendly as you walked in the door, the female was super sweet when she handed me my food, and the other gentleman, an African-American man, ran to the aid of an elderly man that was having trouble walking. he then proceeded to assist him to his table. unfortunately, that type of kindness is not seen as much anymore. I commend him for his actions and empathy.“

I had a turkey sandwich and it automatically came with a thick slice of tomato, red onion, large leaf lettuce, pickle, mayo & mustard. There was a large variety of chip choices. “Went to this place at the recommendation of a colleague whom is a local. I got the soup and sandwich he recommended, The Chelsea which has turkey, avocado and green chilis on grilled sour dough. Visited about 12:30 today and place was busy but plenty of mature (i.e., not 18-yr olds with Subway attitudes) staff kept line and sandwiches moving right along. Lots of friendly banter between Staff members and also with patrons, but it didn't seem to slow down the sandwich prep. First time I redeemed Shore Points and was kindly walked thru checking out using those rewards. I've never had a bad sub or experience at my hometown shop and nice those were carried through to this shop!“

Years ago, I, like everyone else worked at Subway & she asked all the questions at once, ending with toasted or untoasted.Len was diligent, attentive, and friendly. I had half of my sandwich be pepper jack and the other American; they asked if I wanted to upgrade for extra cheese… I said no, but I appreciate the offer. He also asked if I wanted it wrapped separately; labeled.. wasn’t necessary for me but felt worth praising. “To be honest, I do not like giving reviews that are not 5 Stars and with what happened to me, they should not have received the full 5. The food was great as usual but there was an issue I need to address.I ordered a Chicken Philly. I was asked with onions, peppers and mushrooms! I said yes. I was then asked if I wanted fries and a drink! I said just a drink please. I was then asked if I wanted mayo, lettuce and tomato. Again I said yes.I went to get my drink and within a minute or so, my sandwich was ready. The server added the Condiments and didn't box it. He went to get fries but I didn't think anything as I figured he didn't want them to burn. He put them in a box and then put my sandwich in as well. I told him I didn't ask for fries. He stated she charged you for them. He said to check my receipt. I was indeed charged for them.He told the girl that I didn't want fries but she charged me. She basically shrugged her shoulders as if so what. Then I was told that I could keep the fries since I paid for them. Wow! Really!I understand mistakes happen. I should have looked at my receipt so I take full responsibility but no apology and no acknowledgement that a mistake was made. I would have asked for the Manager just to let them know the situation as I'd rather clear it up at the time instead of writing about it. I didn't ask for the Manager because the Manager was there the whole time, heard the conversationand didn't intervene.What a great opportunity to have used this as a teaching moment. I was once told to empathize, apologize and give options. If I was offered for them to refund the difference, I would have said no as I was also at fault for not looking at my receipt but to brush this off as if nothing happened upsets me a bit.I am a fan of Charleys and I will be back. I am a firm believer that the "Customer is NOT always right" and I also will pay for what I receive so it's not about getting something free even if I didn't order it. “Although it can be a little hectic during lunch time, they are usually proficient at making the sandwiches to each customer's specifications. I've never had a wrong order even while ordering multiple sandwiches during the rush, which is impressive. The staff can be slightly curt sometime but I can understand when dealing with lunch rush stress. Keep up the good work.“
