“Wow. Simply wow. This is a gem of a place. I had the pleasure of eating here a while back, about 3-4 years ago. Recently went again and the food has not changed. Authenticity is of course in the eye of the beholder, but I feel many will agree when i say this is authentic Mexican cuisine. It's not often I see salsa torreada at establishments, let alone chicharron prensado done the right way! I tend to stay away from mexican restaurants, trucks, etc because I am usually let down by the lack of flavor. However this spot is an exception. The food here is amazing. Reminds me of home cooking in actual Mexico. The atmosphere set up they have going on, and the service they provide rivals that of taqueria spots in many mexican towns. I thoroughly enjoy my visits here and highly recommend people to swing by and hopefully experience a similar reaction.”

“Went there today and had no idea what I wanted, but they were super patient and friendly. Their customer service is on point. I, also, got a chance to try their chicken and waffles. Did you know they have CHICKEN AND WAFFLES?! Well they do, and they’re topped off with a sweet/spicy sauce called “besito caliente”. It’s delicious. Thank you, Tiki Tops!”

“Fantastic Customer service! Tonight, we ordered subs that my hubby picked up for a late dinner at home. I ordered a Turkey melt with lettuce, tomato, white cheese only, and dry bun, no condiments. My hubby had the spicy Italian. His was good, and mine was not what I ordered. They put mayo on it. I tried to scrap it off, but it had too much. I called to let them know that they made a mistake, and the young lady asked if I wanted to talk to a manager, I hesitated and then agreed.I talked to the manager, and he wanted to remake my sandwich and deliver it. I ended up ordering the Philly with only the meat, white cheese, pepper, and onion, and he delivered it still hot and the way I ordered it. Thank you for the great customer service. I have never had this great service in Carlsbad. We highly recommend it. We have also had their pizza, and it's the way we like it. it has a nice thin crust, plenty of sauce and vegetables. I'm so happy they added green chili to the menu. 💯”

“I highly recommend Grizzly Bear’s Fudge and Lemonade!! We started coming here last summer and from day one both ladies have made us feel very welcomed answering all of our questions. They are truly the sweetest people you will ever meet! Most of the time we still don’t know what we want to drink(always try to get something different) and they always give us advice or ideas. Lemonades are made fresh and right in front of you! This is a perfect little gem in Carlsbad! If you haven’t been yet what’s stopping you! Go in and get a fresh cold iced lemonade on a hot day!!!”

“evening to midnight treats are a treats like this only found in Carlsbad LA Pasadita is a family owned and run restaurant residing in a food truck off San Jose Blvd and I st. the gourmet style HotDogs Burgers and Mexicanized Cuisines are not the typical but well thought out and implemented with consistency and care as if you were family but without chanclas being thrown. Nachos and Mexicano Dog are my current top treats here, and the Strawberry Flan Cake at the snack shake can not be competed with as its the only place you can ordered a dessert like this and is hands down a perfect way to end the meal and sharable for two. Enjoy as they are open evenings and unobstructed sunset views are a the cherry on top.”

“Our first time today. We had a super lunch. Started out with the tea being fresh. Salsa and chips were tasty, not too spicy, shrimp tacos, perfectly balanced with a nice slaw and avacado. Pork asado extremely flavorful yet not too hot! Will definitely go back again!”
