“The Huevos Rancheros and Chile Relleno were some of the best we’ve ever eaten! We enjoy traveling New Mexico for the unique style of flavors of Mexican food only found in this state! The red and green sauces were the authentic deep flavors and the salsa is zappy but flavorful. Our waitress, Leslie encouraged us to try the Calabacitas and tasty whole Borracho Beans? Both were beyond any we’ve eaten previously. Leslie gave us excellent service and was very friendly. The ambience is dated authentic adobe with bright colors and mural paintings. We highly recommend La Nuevo Casita Cafe!“

“Very Disappointed – While the food was decent, the experience was ruined by overhearing staff refer to me as “it” and then say, “oh my god, it’s a grandma.” Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful each time we go. Management either participates or is oblivious.“

“First time there. My little sister and I had gordotas, with the hamburger meat. Not as crispy as my mama's, but, they were good. The sopapias were raw inside. Was told they will be extending the hours until 1900 hours. They closed at 1500 hours, we got there alittle before, so still good. Sure they were also ready to go home.“

“My family and I had the best service and food at El Sombrero. A big shout out to Marin. She's the best waitress we've ever had there. Friendly quick and suggested things we would like. Plus quick on the refills. The absolute best service from her. Thank you! She made out time lovely. Plus the ground beef taco plate is the best in town. The salsa is delicious too.“

“My fav drive through New Mexician/Mexican food restaurant! Everything is so delicious and the service and staff are amazing!! Their chile fries in red or green/ christmas is a must have!! Big enough to split or filling if you want to just veg out and have a great meal!! Add chips and salsa with their Horchata, and complimentary sopapilla with a meal and you will be set!! Honestly a must have if you come to Las Cruces!!“
