“We tried the fish tacos and omg, they were so good. We are so glad we found the place. The portion is very good for the price, it's cheap in my opinion. Will definitely come back to support them and try other things. I like how they use those mini limes.“

“The Huevos Rancheros and Chile Relleno were some of the best we’ve ever eaten! We enjoy traveling New Mexico for the unique style of flavors of Mexican food only found in this state! The red and green sauces were the authentic deep flavors and the salsa is zappy but flavorful. Our waitress, Leslie encouraged us to try the Calabacitas and tasty whole Borracho Beans? Both were beyond any we’ve eaten previously. Leslie gave us excellent service and was very friendly. The ambience is dated authentic adobe with bright colors and mural paintings. We highly recommend La Nuevo Casita Cafe!“

“We were traveling through Las Cruces and found El Sombrero. It is certainly a great restaurant. We were very impressed with the delicious POZOLE! ...The best I have ever tasted! The order of nachos was superb. Our waitress was helpful in helping us choose from the menu. I will recommend El Sombrero Patio Cafe to everyone, and I will be back.“

“I ordered the chilechiles with red chile and no cilantro or onion. They came out with cilantro on them and I let it slide and just picked it off. There was more sauce than chips, cheese, or sour cream. The sauce was spicy but the red chile flavor was missing. There was very little sour cream on them so I went to ask for more. They wanted to charge 2.00 for a two oz portion cup of sour cream. I said no thank you. I can buy a bowl/tub of sour cream at Walmart for that price. The Fresca is instant and not fresh made. I was kind of disappointed over all. I expected better from a place bearing the si senor name. I haven't decided if I will be back to try something else.“
