The Wheel Pizza & Sub Shop Reviews
The best subs I have ever had! The atmosphere truly captures the heart and soul of Antigonish. Although it can be quite busy at times, it is obvious as to why with how delicious it is. The portions are really good.
Great food, busy spot, wait times are decent, food is worth it.
Tried the Donair pizza. It was amazing. The little diner like restaurant was like stepping back to my childhood and all the pictures on the walls told the best stories. Definitely worth the stop on our east coast trip!

The Wheel Pizza & Sub Shop is a well-known local spot that has kept its quality and charm over the years. The pizza is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, free from excessive preservatives and fillers, providing a flavorful and savory taste. The pepperoni is mild and not overly salty, and it pairs well with toppings like bacon and mushrooms. The Donair pizza, a local specialty, is highly recommended, featuring tender and flavorful shawarma-like meat with a sweet flavor combination. The staff, including owner Mike, are friendly and passionate about their craft, creating a welcoming atmosphere similar to a classic NY pizza joint. The shop is known for its nostalgic feel and commitment to quality, making it a favorite destination for a delicious and wholesome meal. Its sweet crust, tangy secret pizza sauce, and quality toppings like real bacon and copious amounts of Saputo mozzarella cheese make it a standout. Customers also enjoy sub sandwiches and appreciate the cool atmosphere and friendly staff. The Wheel Pizza & Sub Shop remains a beloved institution in Antigonish, often shared with friends and even celebrities, and is always worth a visit.
