“Honestly everything from start to finish was fantastic. The staff were all so friendly and inviting and came with small town charm. The care into everything blew us away and the food was incredible. The smoked Scallops were the best way I've ever had them cooked and the tomato soup as well as the Snow Crab Cakes just delightful and full of flavors. The tenderloin was our main and it was an incredible piece of meat. The roasted vegetables were a perfect pair along with the thin sliced potatoes. NOW my favorite part dessert. I had the Winter In Baddeck dessert and I can honestly say I've never had Maple taste so delicious. The homemade Maple Ice cream was light and not too Maple forward and went perfect with the toasted Meringue I could eat every night. I would suggest this to anyone who finds themselves on Cape Breton Island to take the time drive to Baddeck stay and eat here.“

Bacon Wrapped Scallop

“Every moment was special.
We booked a late reservation coming in after finishing the Cabot Trail.
They readily agreed to wait for us if we ran late.
We arrived and asked to be seated outside. There was no seating available so she graciously gave us soft seating for a drink while the guests finished their meals.
The cocktails were perfect. Icy cold but not watered down in ice. The Pepsi for our son was served with the same care as the cocktails.
We enjoyed the seafood fettuccine and the seafood trio. The seafood was beautiful chunks of lobster and white fish along with whole shrimp and scallops. It t came is a creamy seafood sauce that coated the pasta well but did not drown the pasta.
It was a lovely bite overlooking the harbour.
To close the evening we shared the chocolate torte.
Even as the last guests to leave we were offered coffee or a last drink. We did not feel rushed but respected .
I would recommend the restaurant for the visual appeal, the atmosphere the menu and the service.
Well done.

Dietary restrictions: We have no dietary restrictions but were asked at the onset.

Kid-friendliness: Our youngest is 15 and they engaged so well“

“My husband and I were recommended Bitehouse to cater our small wedding in Cape Breton and it was everything we could have hoped for. Bryan was extremely responsive through the wedding planning and helped us design a 4-course menu while being extremely flexible with our guests who had dietary restrictions. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. It was not only the best wedding meal that we'd had, but was really fine dining quality. Bryan and his whole team went above and beyond during the wedding to make sure everyone was well taken care of and we couldn't have imagined our wedding without them. Couldn't recommend Bitehouse enough!“

Fisher's Stew

“Hats Off to the Ladies for their Friendly Service... Buffet was Great (a little high priced but your paying for unlimited seafood, salad & desert so this one's worth the splurge). Macaroni Salad was great (not sourly made with miracle whip) Caesar Salad house dressing was Delicious but the salad was missing Croutons (also had to ask for them). Scallops in the Pasta were Huge! High Five. My Only Complaints -A. Carpet floors should be sticky swept between Customers when necessary (paying high prices for food I'd expect a clean floor at my table) B. Update the Online Menu (prices are fairly higher on the current menu vs. the website menu -some menu items have also changed and are no longer available).“

“Choice to eat inside or on patio. The view inside is very nice. The wait was reasonnable given how busy it was. The food was excellent but quite on the pricey side. Waiter was great and I like that they bring a small light to your table. If you don't eat seafood like I do, you'll find the menu choice quite limited.“
