“I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Swiss Chalet where I ordered the half chicken, accompanied by a fresh Caesar salad. The flavors were exceptional, with the chicken perfectly cooked and seasoned, making each bite a joy. The Caesar salad was crisp and well-balanced, with just the right amount of dressing. My entire family thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well, making it a memorable dining experience for all of us.“

“Overall I had a good experience but it fell short in two main areas. First before I get into it I want too say my waitress was perfect very friendly and always there when we needed her.

First issue i had was that I ordered the sliders which sounded lovely but when I got them they were dry almost no sauce on them. I barely ate it. Wasn't really impressed especially for a customer favorite dish. My favorite is still thr maple chicken penne.

Second issue which isnt really an issue was the lack of tv''s , for a sports like bar. The tvs that they did have were on the smaller scale so only a select few could aee them.“

“I haven't had the pleasure of having any food but when I do I will revise my review. But my husband and I go there weekly and always enjoy ourselves. All of the servers were excellent except for one but she came around after I kept going back. The ambiance was exceptional, I get a really nice vibe from the pub, we will continue to go back Weekly.“

“Great experience here! Our server was fantastic (we didn’t get his name ~ slim, no hair). We had the Millstone Burger, Candied Bacon Burger, and a Club…the food was excellent. Loved having a combo of fries and salad to go with it. The fries deserve a shoutout of their own.. so good! Great casual atmosphere ~ we’ll definitely be back!“

“I ❤️ the whole Timber experience. Fun times throwing axes - the axe coaches keep it safe and allow us to have fun at the same time. The bar manager Marty is wonderful at serving bevvies and is hilarious. Cudos to Darren and the whole gang for the entire ax-perience. 11 out of 10 for a fabulous night out !!!“

“As a person who travels alone a lot, I want to share my experiences about the awesome staff and great food that Le Rouge has to offer. While the menu is small it has something for everyone. Excellent apps , the most delicious steaks, seafood and the best Chocolate Cake. As a returning customer on the first night the Seth waiter /bartender ( recognized me and commented that I was here for my annual show. A year later he remembers my wine choice recommends a the best choice of a steak and of course my dessert taking great care in making sure my allergy to shrimp was never a threat. On my second night, again he recommends the Le Rouge burger that arrives hot and delicious and he tells me that my first choice of nachos contains a fish sauce that might contains shrimp he probably served dozens of customers but still remembered my allergy. I greatly appreciate that the staff was friendly with small talk and checking up me Seth and his new buddy Charbel were awesome to watch as they mixed up a constant array of drinks. With a great atmosphere, delicious food and supreme staff I give Le Rouge a 12 out 10 . I ate at Le Rouge for 6 nights and every meal was awesome 🤩“

“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!“

“This was my first time at The Cannery, Bedford Row in downtown Halifax. I was greeted by friendly staff and my first thought was of the cleanliness of the restaurant and the staff were sharply dressed. The ambiance was chic and it was decorated in classy high end furnishings. I choose a both, yet still had a great view of Halifax harbour. The Braised Short Rib Pappardelle was cooked flawlessly and the sauce was tasty delicious. I look forward to the steak on my next visit. Mixologist Abi is amazing and pours the best tasting cocktails the city has to offer. His drinks please both the eye and the taste buds as he has a few tricks up his sleeve. “I had the Rhina Ribs, fries, gravy and Spinach dip for a starter. The spinach dip was delicious. The ribs were so tender it fell off the bone. Absolutely delicious. I didn't care for the gravy but still enjoyed my food. Service was great and the food came quickly. I love coming to this restaurant.“

“Johnnys is a classic. An old school diner that keeps it simple good food, good service, good price, fast and fresh. A lunch time go to for us at our office. I take our out of town guests all the time they love it and want to go back when they are back in town.“

“My sister took me out and I loved it. I’ve also done Harvey’s too as in New Glasgow we have no Harvey’s. Server was cavelle. So reliable and polite and caring to our needs. It was not too crowded or noisy. I loved the fact that you can order from both menus. As some are not beef eaters. Very convenient. I’m glad I got a chance to go there. Actually we went there twice . One to one side and one to other side of establishment. I wish there were more locations.“

“I went to Montana’s Dartmouth this past Wednesday for their All-You-Can-Eat Ribs special, and it was fantastic! Our server, Tiffany, made the whole experience even better. She was friendly, attentive, and kept the ribs coming without us ever having to ask. Tiffany checked in often, made sure drinks were topped up, and had such a great attitude that really added to the night.

The ribs were delicious, perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous. Between the food and Tiffany’s outstanding service, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend stopping by on a Wednesday if you’re craving ribs you won’t be disappointed!“

“You guys really need to step it up when it comes to consistency. I'm so tired of paying good money for food and being disappointed. You used to be my go to for everything and I keep trying and hoping that things have improved but one week I'll get a large donair and it's a large and tastes good, next week ill order a large donair and get a small burnt one. same thing with donair subs. I just paid $15 for a large donair, it was tiny and the sauce on it taste like milk not at all like donair sauce. Done with spending good money and getting something different every time I won't try again that's for sure.“

While shooting an event, my bag was stolen and not only did the event coordinator help me sort things out on the camera, but Mike the bouncer actually FOUND my backpack AND all of my gear (minus bank cards) in a nearby lot!! “The Lion’s Head is one of my go-to spots in the North End when I want a chill, friendly vibe. The rooftop patio is the real star — perfect for soaking up the sun.

Service is always quick and friendly, even when it’s busy, and having lots of free parking nearby makes it an easy choice. It’s also a great spot for larger groups — plenty of space and a lively atmosphere without feeling cramped.

Food-wise, it’s mostly solid with the occasional standout. The sweet potato fries, burger, salad, mac and cheese, and a chicken wrap with soup I tried once as a feature were all great. The wings were just okay — not bad, but not a must-order for me.

All in all, a fun neighborhood pub with a killer patio, reliable food, and staff who make you feel welcome.“

“Group of work crew got together for a meal and then a Moose game on February 29th and not only enjoyed the food, the layout of the restaurant, but the waiter (Brandon) was amazing and made the whole experience of our first visit the best experience and we'll definitely return.“
