“Today we took our grandsons for lunch. It was very busy considering it was March break. We were greeted quickly and seated. Our server Debra was very busy as were the other servers but she did a good job getting our orders. The food was good,clubhouse for us and chicken strips and fries for the boys. They enjoyed the build your own sundaes! Going home the boys remarked how much they liked the place! Hats off to all the staff!“

“When I tell you guys this is the best Swiss Chalet in Nova Scotia, it really is. I believe it’s family owned, with amazing service. Judy is an excellent waitress who is always super friendly and quick! Their food is always perfect, fast, you don’t wait 45 minutes for your food or your bill, it’s never too packed, and in a great area with shopping malls and a superstore. 10/10!!“

“Very good restaurant experience.

Server masterfully struck the balance between checking in on us and letting us enjoy our food very well, and was supremely friendly.

I liked the QR code payment system they put in place. Very good for people with social anxieties.

Seating and table space per person was ample and they had a decent variety of chairs, booths, and hybrid seating options.

Large portions, and priced about the same as other places around the area for breakfast food.

Would highly recommend someone looking for a good breakfast!“

we had awesome meals, maple curry chicken and beef dip and great service.

“today was another disappointment. small In size but the taste? and color? the worst chicken burger we've had by far. been a family of customers for 50 years. it's just not quality food anymore. high prices and smaller sizes was bad enough but the quality has gone downhill. the chicken in my chicken burger resembled "canned chicken/tuna"... small more shredded almost paste like in places. no taste no white chicken chunks . huge disappointment. and NOT cheap!“

“I ❤️ the whole Timber experience. Fun times throwing axes - the axe coaches keep it safe and allow us to have fun at the same time. The bar manager Marty is wonderful at serving bevvies and is hilarious. Cudos to Darren and the whole gang for the entire ax-perience. 11 out of 10 for a fabulous night out !!!“

“This was my first time at The Cannery, Bedford Row in downtown Halifax. I was greeted by friendly staff and my first thought was of the cleanliness of the restaurant and the staff were sharply dressed. The ambiance was chic and it was decorated in classy high end furnishings. I choose a both, yet still had a great view of Halifax harbour. The Braised Short Rib Pappardelle was cooked flawlessly and the sauce was tasty delicious. I look forward to the steak on my next visit. Mixologist Abi is amazing and pours the best tasting cocktails the city has to offer. His drinks please both the eye and the taste buds as he has a few tricks up his sleeve. Thanks again to everyone at The Cannery for a tasty meal and tasty drinks. See you all again soon. Cheers“

“As a person who travels alone a lot, I want to share my experiences about the awesome staff and great food that Le Rouge has to offer. While the menu is small it has something for everyone. Excellent apps , the most delicious steaks, seafood and the best Chocolate Cake. As a returning customer on the first night the Seth waiter /bartender ( recognized me and commented that I was here for my annual show. A year later he remembers my wine choice recommends a the best choice of a steak and of course my dessert taking great care in making sure my allergy to shrimp was never a threat. On my second night, again he recommends the Le Rouge burger that arrives hot and delicious and he tells me that my first choice of nachos contains a fish sauce that might contains shrimp he probably served dozens of customers but still remembered my allergy. I greatly appreciate that the staff was friendly with small talk and checking up me Seth and his new buddy Charbel were awesome to watch as they mixed up a constant array of drinks. With a great atmosphere, delicious food and supreme staff I give Le Rouge a 12 out 10 . I ate at Le Rouge for 6 nights and every meal was awesome 🤩“

“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!“

Vegetarian options: The mushroom burger was completely vegan, I believe. There was a delicious beet and grapefruit salad and very tasty brussels sprouts.“

“Johnny’s Snack Bar is right at the top of my list of favourite places to eat in Halifax. It’s a true North End gem that’s been family run for over 40 years ! You can feel the love in every part of it. The food is consistently perfection, no matter what you order. From old school flat top burgers and breakfasts to daily specials, pork chops, fried chicken, and their incredible pan-fried haddock, everything is done right, every time.

“I have been coming here for a number of years. Drive thru and dine in. Clean facility, lots of room, courteous and friendly staff, fast served made to order. Always a please to sit in and enjoy a meal.

Try the Buffalo chicken combo. Best sandwich I've ever had that is fast food, it's restaurant tier.

“We had a busy morning at Costco and home Depot and we were very hungry. We could see this Harveys from the Costco parking lot so we were off. The young lady that waited on us was so friendly and happy it made us feel relaxed and we had a great lunch.

“I always loved Montana’s in Ottawa but never tried it in Halifax. I came in for my first time with my girlfriend and a buddy in Halifax and was pleasantly surprised. Same great vibe and fun atmosphere of Montana’s and a table to scribble on. Sophie served us and was so kind and helpful! She described the menu well and suggested some great options. “You guys really need to step it up when it comes to consistency. I'm so tired of paying good money for food and being disappointed. You used to be my go to for everything and I keep trying and hoping that things have improved but one week I'll get a large donair and it's a large and tastes good, next week ill order a large donair and get a small burnt one. same thing with donair subs. I just paid $15 for a large donair, it was tiny and the sauce on it taste like milk not at all like donair sauce. Done with spending good money and getting something different every time I won't try again that's for sure.“

While shooting an event, my bag was stolen and not only did the event coordinator help me sort things out on the camera, but Mike the bouncer actually FOUND my backpack AND all of my gear (minus bank cards) in a nearby lot!! A mix of bartered and fried, but mostly clean and very good and minimally breaded. Delicious, generous and as always the interior is a clean and beautiful space.
