“North is one of our favorite local spots. They host fun events (the drag shows are wild and I love to see that type of support in our community). We love the atmosphere, food is great, staff is always lovely and the beer is always good - in fact, their sours are beyond the best around and I really hope they start brewing them again. I was definitely a bit disappointed that they haven't offered one recently so.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back your sours! I also think their merchandise offered is more stylish then a lot of other similar places. It has a unique surf/beachy vibe that I hope they continue. What's even better is that they offer a 15% discount you can use on merch, if you show your receipt after dining in their taproom! Keep up the great work!“

“Thank you for being dog friendly. Yesterday 29 November 2025 we stopped in for a 1/2 pint and were presently surprised to see that there were several well behaved dogs on the premises. As we had traveled from Yarmouth and our basset hound had been cooped up in the van most of the day we brought him in. The staff were amazing giving treats to the dogs (always after politely asking permission to do so) .
This made our day. The beer was excellent the staff were awesome and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
Five stars all the way!

“Visit Sunday December 7, 2025. Mobility impaired accessible, nearby on-street parking. Great selection of beers, some wine offered. No food at this location, with the exception of some bagged nuts or perhaps other pre-prepared items. Wonderful staff very well informed of the brews and very helpful with suggestions.“
“I tasted my first Exile on North Street at the Library Pub in Wolfville yesterday! Wow! It knocked me off my chair with lip smacking flavours! My wife who’s not a big IPA drinker lapped it up and we both look forward to picking some up at Unfiltered Brewing and tasting it and all their offerings real soon! Congratulations for creating liquid masterpieces!

“An absolute MUST if you're into wicked awesome tasty local taps! Especially if you enjoy super casual easy-going staff. The pub menu is perfect! LOVE the wings!! They even have vegan wings, YEAH!! Definitely enjoying Smokehouse Taproom again and again. AWESOME“
“If you’re looking for a good atmosphere and good food/drinks this is the place to go in Dartmouth. I stumbled in here one night and ended up meeting the owner and sharing conversation with other patrons and employees. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. The experience alone is worth going back. The food and drinks were really good and a fair price. I highly recommend.“

“This is our local taproom. I just love this place. Great bunch of people...staff and patrons. A great place to relax and enjoy some good conversation. The beer is the best in Halifax if you're into craft beer. Always a great selection and the beers rotate frequently so you never get tired of drinking the same thing....unless of course you want to. They have some specialty snacks to enjoy with your favorites beer too. They do not serve food, but you're welcome to bring in whatever your heart desires, in to eat. Jesse's Pizza and CHKN CHOP are just steps away.A couple of my favorite beers are 12 Years to Zion, DOA and Flat Black Jesus. I'm sure you'll have your own favorites.“

“A relatively small, cozy place where we decided to celebrate my wife's new job. We took 2 sets of small portions of beer and a snack. By the way, this place doesn't have any food at all, only 2 types of nuts and 1 type of chips. This is not bad, this is not a restaurant or a fast-food, just so that you take this into account and do not come here hungry. Only drinks and a small snack to go with it. So, in fact, we tried 8 different types of beer from those sets - all were tasty and interesting in their own way(some fruity, some a little tart), we liked them. Quiet pleasant music. If I understood the poster here correctly, on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month there is some kind of musical event in the evenings. Very pleasant in conversation staff. Quietly good prices: my wife and I expected the check to be a little more than we received, so we decided to leave a tip a little more than we initially wanted.“
