“I'm a recent customer of this restaurant. I've had three Pad Thai to go in the past few months and they've all been excellent. Quality and quantity are a good match. The staff are very friendly when I go in to order and pick up my meal.I haven't eaten there yet, can let you know that it's a very small, very quaint restaurant. I'll leave it to someone else to rate the atmosphere, and why I have it at 4.“
“I love this restaurant! So many delish dishes to please every palate. We were there for lunch. The lunch specials are vast, and average 13-15$ each. There was lots of parking, and great seating available. The only reason that I gave it a 4/5 for wait staff is that the waitstaff were a bit over pushy and borderline rude.I have food allergies so many sauces make me ill. I love ribs. So I tried to order my lunctime special plated BBQ ribs without the sauce. That was an issue, apparently a big one. The wait staff told me the dish was BBQ and so it had to be BBQ sauce on the ribs or they would "not taste good". After about 4 attempts to explain that I cannot have the sauce for my dietary restrictions, they agreed to put it on the side. What a waste of their time and sauce, ahah. Otherwise, great service. Great food. Great place! You would not leave there hungry. Yum!!Dietary restrictions: Lots of options for those of us with dietary restrictions. Just be prepared in advance it may be an isssue to explain "no sauce please." And just accept it on the side lol.“
“Have dined here at least six times over the last two years. After being given a gift certificate from a colleague for a Christmas I enjoyed it so much that I asked my family to have my next birthday supper there and have been a few times since (with others even requesting we go their now for their celebrations which speaks volumes about how good the place is overall). It is a cozy restaurant (be sure to make reservations if going at peak times as I'm sure they fill up quickly) but there is enough space between tables and booths that it does not feel crowded. They set the atmosphere very well with dim lighting, candles and music played at a volume that is nice but not so loud that it is distracting or hinders conversation. The whole decor seems to match with a theme that comes office classy/intimate but still accessible (would be a good place to go on a date I imagine). The staff are always appropriately pleasant, attentive and accommodating (my family are the kind that always as for things like extra napkins, condiments and other small but multiple requests that I am sure staff eventually find insufferable but never let it show). The time between being seated, ordering and receiving ones meal has been very reasonable everytime. Same sentiment when it come ordering take out as well. The food presents at appropriate temperatures, seems to be made with fresh ingredients and is Always delicious. Portion sizes are pretty average (usually can't eat it all so do take away some leftovers). My family has never sent anything back while coming there and that is a rarity. Also have been told their gluten free options are quite good.Have usually started of with either calamari or wonton soup which have always been nice. The ginger beef is so good that I have had it a couple of times now. The prices are reasonable and you are getting quality for what you pay. Will continue to keep it in mind whenever a suggestion for a place to dine is brought up.“
“The eel rice, scallop sushi rolls and tonkotsu ramen are all delicious. I forgot to take pictures. Although the store is small, the overall service and atmosphere inside the store are very warm. I especially recommend plum wine and other Japanese sakes! I will definitely go there again next time, it’s also great for a date!“
“Best Thai food in the city!!! So delicious, hot, and flavourful. I'm consistently impressed at how quick the service is.My favourite dish is the pineapple fried rice. Cashew chicken is also incredibly yummy. The chicken satay with peanut sauce... Super tasty!“
“Our family decided to eat here because my sister wanted a mango salad. there were 6 of us, everybody got something different from appetizers, Spring Rolls, Satay Chicken, Coconut Soup, Shrimp Rolls, Mango Salad; all shared, except the soup. Then our main courses: Garlic Prawns, Cashew Chicken, Salmon with Mango Lime sauce, Lemon Grass Chicken, Seafood Fried Rice and for dessert deep fried bananas and ice cream. Everything was excellent, fresh, hot, delicious, great portions. Our waitress Thuy, was great, sweet, efficient and fun. It was totally unanimous, our experience was wonderful, I would highly recommend this place.“
“Consistent, flavorful food (with the other Cha Baa locations). Very good Pad Thai that I order extra spicy and find it comes out slightly spicy, but that's ok. Always leave very full. Slightly nicer atmosphere here IMO. Lots of natural lighting. Many booths and seating for maybe 70 or so? Friendly service. Private parking lot is convenient.“
“I had the pad cha, and it was a phenomenal flavour explosion. I was impressed they had unique menu items that I've never seen at Thai restaurants in Halifax before. Everyone's appetizer and main course was delicious. The service was wonderful.“
“Thr dinner menu here is amazing, however I have noticed at lunch the quality is not as good. Servoce and ambience are great!Vegetarian options: Loads of options for vegetariansParking: Parking is not too hard to find as there are a large number of public parking lots nearby“
“Our new favourite Thai place! Since moving back to NS we have tried to find a great Thai place that was not food court level. This is the place! Everything we’ve tried so far (been there twice now) has been delicious. Service is great. If you like Thai food go!“
“Went here tonight with friends- great atmosphere/ fun and inviting- and the waitress was great to add suggestions and give us time to have our drinks and explore the menu- Another friend arrived as she knew and she gave us time to explore the menu after we put in our apps so very good timing-The food was very nice and I'd come again a recommend!!“
“I prefer the food selection here over Mizu. It’s not a perfect score because I was not too fond of the customer service. I guess it varies with the server and time. I had a male server who was not very good. I came here at 2pm for lunch. The ambience is also not that great.“
“I love this place. I have been in the other branch in Halifax chain lake, but you can’t compare the quality of. The menu of the 2branches were different as well, the variety of food is more in Dartmouth. The service and atmosphere were awesome, the fish were super fresh. Be aware how much you will order, as you will be charged for the leftoversVegetarian options: Lots of sushi rolls and salads , noodles and fried rice“
“Blue Elephant is close to my office and yesterday was the first time I tried it.They had a great list of lunch specials out together. Most were $14-15 included a spring roll. I had the Cashew Chicken and it was fresh and flavourful. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. The Spring Roll had a great tangy dipping sauce.I will return to this local hidden gem.“
