“As a person who travels alone a lot, I want to share my experiences about the awesome staff and great food that Le Rouge has to offer. While the menu is small it has something for everyone. Excellent apps , the most delicious steaks, seafood and the best Chocolate Cake. As a returning customer on the first night the Seth waiter /bartender ( recognized me and commented that I was here for my annual show. A year later he remembers my wine choice recommends a the best choice of a steak and of course my dessert taking great care in making sure my allergy to shrimp was never a threat. On my second night, again he recommends the Le Rouge burger that arrives hot and delicious and he tells me that my first choice of nachos contains a fish sauce that might contains shrimp he probably served dozens of customers but still remembered my allergy. I greatly appreciate that the staff was friendly with small talk and checking up me Seth and his new buddy Charbel were awesome to watch as they mixed up a constant array of drinks. With a great atmosphere, delicious food and supreme staff I give Le Rouge a 12 out 10 . I ate at Le Rouge for 6 nights and every meal was awesome 🤩“

“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!“

“Swiss Chalet for dinner in a heat wave was a great choice! Queen was our server, and even though the restaurant was busy, she kept us informed on what was going on and also checked in on use multiple times. She was absolutely amazing. We did get food off the roast beef menu and it was phenomenal- highly recommend trying it while it’s here!“

“Great time. Brought my daughter and grandkids and bordered their classic kitchen sink. The kids loved the novelty. Ordered jungle juice for the kids and the waiter happily brought marachino cherries for the kids drinks. Our spinach dip was unfortunetly cold and they happily took it off our ordered. Disappointing as I do love their spinach dip.“

“This was my first time at The Cannery, Bedford Row in downtown Halifax. I was greeted by friendly staff and my first thought was of the cleanliness of the restaurant and the staff were sharply dressed. The ambiance was chic and it was decorated in classy high end furnishings. I choose a both, yet still had a great view of Halifax harbour. The Braised Short Rib Pappardelle was cooked flawlessly and the sauce was tasty delicious. I look forward to the steak on my next visit. Mixologist Abi is amazing and pours the best tasting cocktails the city has to offer. His drinks please both the eye and the taste buds as he has a few tricks up his sleeve. “My son and I attended the John Prine Tribute Show Saturday night; the talent was spectacular and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, during the music break, I became ill very suddenly (non alcohol related), and got sick as I tried to reach the washroom. I was so embarassed and upset, but a lovely customer and the owner were incredible. Emma and Karen made sure I was well taken care of, cleaning me up, calming me down, rubbing my back, getting me water and wet/dry cloths. I can't thank you both enough! “We stopped by Swiss Chalet in Bedford after a morning of sightseeing and the quarter chicken dinner with extra dipping sauce really hit the spot. It was mid-afternoon so the place was quiet and we got a cozy booth by the window without any wait. The server checked in on us a couple of times without being pushy, which we always appreciate at our age. Parking right out front made it easy too, and we will definitely stop in again next time we are in the area.“

“I’ve been going to TBR for years now, and it’s the definition of a true local haunt—packed with regulars and soon-to-be regulars every week. I first showed up for Friday night karaoke, just looking for something fun with a few neighbors, and ended up finding a place to hang my hat.

No frills, no pretension—just a classic community bar. Everyone knows everyone, and if you don’t, give it a night—you will. The room’s full of characters from all walks of life, like a barroom sitcom where somehow it all works. There’s a seat for anyone who walks in.

“You guys really need to step it up when it comes to consistency. I'm so tired of paying good money for food and being disappointed. You used to be my go to for everything and I keep trying and hoping that things have improved but one week I'll get a large donair and it's a large and tastes good, next week ill order a large donair and get a small burnt one. same thing with donair subs. I just paid $15 for a large donair, it was tiny and the sauce on it taste like milk not at all like donair sauce. Done with spending good money and getting something different every time I won't try again that's for sure.“
