“I love the Poke Bowl. I’ve had both the fresh greens and the rice bowl options. I love that there’s so many options. You get a lot in one bowl. So many fresh veggie options to choose from. I also like their environmentally friendly bowls and forks. A definite must go to place when you’re in Annapolis Royal next and need a meal. And why not grab an ice cream next door at their sister shop 1 Scoop 2 Scoop.”

“In town for a few days September 2023 and this became our go to place. Amazing that after our first visit staff treated us like locals, acknowledging us coming in and extremely attentive.Plenty of great beers to choose from - I found an affection for the Berry Tart Sour.Food options include food from a nearby establishment - the folks at the Fort Anne Cafe even brought our orders over to the brewery - nice.There are some really comfy seats by the fireplace - we were fortunate to be able to snag those on one of our visits.We'll be back!”

“You just cannot help to get scallops at every establishment for a town known for scallops. These were a lot chunkier than the other spots and the crust they developed was great. Chowder was a bit small for the portion but at least there were more seafood morsels than other spots. But it still doesn't feel like a chowder to me. I had to at least get one order of fish and chips, and it hit the spot. Not overly battered, light, flaky, and condiments were a great touch to a tasty fish.”

“Favourite East Coast Coffee Shop. As a certified coffee enthusiast I can confirm that Sissiboo is the real deal! Everything I’ve tried from them has been amazing - from freshly brewed beverages to tasty treats, my taste buds are always satisfied. Their staff is usually quite welcoming & friendly, although I’ve had a few not-so-friendly experiences. This café is a must-visit spot every time I stop into Annapolis Royal. Highly recommend if you’re looking to sip some delicious coffee overlooking a gorgeous view! :)”

Evelyn is such an amazing person. she has been a huge comfort to the family when my mom passed away. the service overall is second to none and never had a bad meal there at all. living in Dartmouth makes me miss recardos pizza all the time”

“We eat here whenever we are in Digby and sometimes we even make the 30 minute drive just to eat here. Everything we've had from the menu is excellent, with the Pad Thai being our favorite and we always start off with a couple Donair Egg Rolls....so good!! :-)”

“A super robust menu with tons of options to your classic scoops. Literally walked back and forth seeing what I could get. And in the end, selected the ice cream cookie sandwich. Very satisfying, great value, and cookies were to my liking. That crispy edge and chewy inside. Ice cream is the local brand, so it certainly upped the taste when you added yummy cookies.”

“Amazing customer service! Super friendly and accommodating.We ordered a combo plate which offered more than enough food for 2 people. The wonton soup was the best I've had in Canada!Due to Covid, they have only been serving take out. They have an organized system that keeps people from entering the building to pick up orders and they bring the order out to you.Would be a great option for a to go lunch that could be eaten while sitting on the grounds of the fort, overlooking the water.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable options here.”

“I recently had a great experience at The Crow’s Nest restaurant. It is a casual dining seafood restaurant on Water St in Digby NS with a fantastic view of the Annapolis Basin. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top-notch. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Our party of 6 wandered in (off season) and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. Tables were set for 4 but they set a table for 6 in less than 2 minutes. We all ordered a bowl of seafood chowder and each couple split haddock bites and fries. The chowder came; it was rich, hearty and ready-to-eat temperature wise - not blistering hot but neither luke-warm, bordering on cool. A very good variety of white fish and shell fish. This seafood chowder was some of the best I’ve had. The haddock bites came and our waitress split each order for us. There were again, substantial portions cooked exactly as we asked. We all took most of this away with us as the bowl of chowder filled us. All this awesome food, great views, and an absolutely professional server for a very reasonable price. This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night. I/we would highly recommend this establishment and plan to return in the future.”

“While on our honeymoon we had stopped here for a midnight snack. We had two experiences.The first , Though the kitchen was closed a man over heard we were on our honeymoon and offered to buy us a Shot. The bar tender offered us a Rock lobster and it became our tradition all the 6 days of our honeymoon to remember the two men Joshua and Nate who we connected well with. Our bartender was such a sweet heart!Our second experience again arriving for our Rock lobster, we had another server who seemed very sweet and had a gentle spirit. She seemed to be under stress from a man bothering her so we had played a game of pool (my first time) until she had locked the doors to make sure she was alright❤ both experiences were memerable thank you so much guys ?❤”

“Good service. Good food. We were whalewatching, and stopped on way home. When I got home on the south shore, I realized I had left my handknit wool cardigan from Ireland, favorite sweater, on back of a chair. Phoned Crystal, the manager. She had the sweater! She offered to send it to me free of charge! I could hardly believe my ears. She even left a message when it was sent. It has arrived safe and sound. Talk about going above and beyond duty. I am so grateful for such a kind and caring gesture!!”

“The food and service was great! The atmosphere is what you would expect in Digby; a little country feeling dinner. We both got a lobster roll and chowder and there was no complaints at all! Both were amazing and fresh. I got the carrot cake for desert and it was by far the best I’ve had in years. Highly recommend”
