“The 5 Fishermen restaurant was amazing! The food, the atmosphere and the staff were all great. The manager even went to every table to check on the customers…to me, that is over and above service. We had the prime rib that was melt in your mouth fantastic. I know it will definitely be on our list of places to eat when we return to Halifax.“

“I just had to best experience with Evan’s and more specifically Manish. I ordered a large amount of take out chowder that was being transported quite a distance away. Manish was amazing. He had everything packed so well for us. He took time to write down instructions for me and explain them for me. I was blown away at how great the customer service was. The chowder was also delicious and everyone loved it. It was a very positive experience. I appreciate Manish so much for going the extra mile for us so it worked out wonderfully. Thank you so much!“

“Wide menu with good value for the portions. Classic diner-style spot — casual and a bit outdated but cozy. We tried the lobster roll, fish and chips, and clam chowder. The fish and chips were the standout, great flavor and crispy fries. The chowder was rich and creamy but a bit cold, and the lobster roll was good but not amazing. Overall, a solid place for a casual meal, though not sure it’s the best representation of Halifax seafood.“

“We had our small wedding group here for dinner post ceremony. It was the perfect space (the Rhino room) and fit all 27 of us. Booking was easy, the staff and food was fantastic and delicious. And they were so accommodating to our guests with allergies. Cannot recommend it enough!“

Having the chef come out with the waiter to explain what was in each dish / course was also fun. They took extra care because of allergies too! “We had an outstanding dining experience at The Press Gang that was enhanced by our server, Lindsey. We started with oysters and yellow-fin tuna. Both dishes were scrumptious. Our mains were the Tuscan Atlantic Salmon and Seafood Risotto. Both were excellent and Lindsay suggested the perfect wine pairing. This was by far one of the best dining experiences we have had!“
