“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!“

“This was my first time at The Cannery, Bedford Row in downtown Halifax. I was greeted by friendly staff and my first thought was of the cleanliness of the restaurant and the staff were sharply dressed. The ambiance was chic and it was decorated in classy high end furnishings. I choose a both, yet still had a great view of Halifax harbour. The Braised Short Rib Pappardelle was cooked flawlessly and the sauce was tasty delicious. I look forward to the steak on my next visit. Mixologist Abi is amazing and pours the best tasting cocktails the city has to offer. His drinks please both the eye and the taste buds as he has a few tricks up his sleeve. “We went for lunch and ordered our food, then waited a long time — close to 45 minutes. Eventually, a staff member came over and explained that our order never reached the kitchen due to a computer error. That was frustrating.
They immediately offered to charge us half the bill. After the meal, they apologized again and gave us a $25 gift card for a future visit. I really respect how they handled it. They didn’t try to brush it off or wait for us to complain. They owned the mistake and took action right away to fix it. A+ customer service.“

“Love the Stubborn Goat. Have been there for drinks and on our recent trip to Halifax, we ate there as well. Great food, drinks, people and atmosphere. Will definitely make it a “go to” when we are in Halifax. Maggie our bartender was amazing!“

“I ordered take away and it was great. The meals were part of the festival line. Food was cooked well, just as we ordered. It was bought out relatively quickly. Service was excellent. As with everywhere, is a definite increase in prices from previous years.“

They checked in at just the right times, made sure our drinks were always topped up, and were quick with anything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. You can tell they really care about giving good service — they were upbeat, professional, and made the whole lunch feel relaxed and enjoyable.

“Came tor Trivia night and ordered quesidila. Little pricey for food but I guess fairly standard these days, but the drinks were reasonably priced. Iverall decent experience. Typical pub fair and vibe for the most part. Service was decent, food came out quite fast“

You used to be my go to for everything and I keep trying and hoping that things have improved but one week I'll get a large donair and it's a large and tastes good, next week ill order a large donair and get a small burnt one. same thing with donair subs. I just paid $15 for a large donair, it was tiny and the sauce on it taste like milk not at all like donair sauce. Done with spending good money and getting something different every time I won't try again that's for sure.“
