“We visited Kiyoto Sushi Halifax around lunchtime but ended up ordering dinner — we were really hungry 😄
I’m a big fan of sushi restaurants, and honestly, I’ve never had such fresh fish and sushi anywhere else in Halifax! The rice was soft and perfectly cooked — not dry or stale — everything tasted like it was made just moments ago.
Yes, the space is a bit small, and it feels like they could use one more person serving the dining area. As a European, I also wished for a better wine selection (and maybe a friendlier price for half a glass 😅).
But if we’re talking purely about the food quality and taste — it’s a solid five stars!
I truly hope this restaurant continues to grow and doesn’t stop improving.
And one more important note: cleanliness! I’d love to see tables and tablets wiped thoroughly after each guest. I always wash my hands before eating, and I feel a bit uneasy touching the tablet screen with my fingers. Maybe provide a little stylus with a cover — that would match my “sterile hands” perfectly 😉“

“Since Covid I have very rarely been downtown and so today when I had the opportunity I went to my fave place and ordered the Pho GA and The lemon grass chicken Bahn-Mi. It was even better than I remembered! Lots of chicken, the yummy housemaid citrusy mayo and the bun which is absolutely amazing. The res chillies for me is what makes this so darn tasty - so thanks for that kind associate behind the counter who acccommodated my request!“
