The dining room was already half full by 10am, tucked-away location but clearly a local favorite, with exposed brick and a low hum of conversation that made it easy to linger over coffee. Staff at the counter remembered a regular's order before he even finished asking, which says a lot about how often people come back. Parking on the street was easy that early, and I'd happily route through Halifax again just to get another bite.“

The staff was so friendly, clean, professional and brought my food to me instead of ghettoly shouting my number to me like other places. I also liked that by the time I was ready to eat, there still wasn't any grease stains from the food despite being fried food and I could eat directly from the box. Great job ladies. Keep it up. “Truly a superior product compared to the old standard at KFC. The only piece of chicken I find a bit greasy is the thigh. Otherwise, it's juicy without being greasy, and the tators are far better than KFC's horrible fries. The gravy has improved over the years, but KFC still holds the title for best gravy.

The downside is the cost. You have to look for deals like the Mary Monday or the Batters Box, the latter only offered during baseball season.

But if you can afford it, a tasty treat without the quesy after taste if the competition.“

“I was just in at 4 ish and ordered a three piece spicy chicken combo. Most of the time, I have a rough experience here but today I had a wonderful time. The girl working at the counter, Tasnima, was wonderful and friendly. She prepared our order fast and even recommend items to us such as the strawberry pie that my kid loved. All of it, she did with a smile! Kudos to Popeyes! I’ll be returning again!“
