Great pizza but an hour and a half or more for takeout is unexceptable. I was given a $5 coupon which didn't even cover the tip. I thought it was a one off but 2 weeks later it was worse and no coupon. Best pizza in Hfx. but....
I went to the place after reading an article that mentioned it had received an award. However, I didn’t like the pizza I ordered—the waiter had recommended it as the “Best Buy.” It was a mushroom pizza, and I usually like mushrooms on pizza a lot, but this one had an unusually large amount of them, and they were too bitter for my taste.
We ordered something like 75 large pizzas and 75 large salads, each of several varieties for our event. Salvatore's had excellent communication, the timing was great, they were easy to coordinate with and get ahold of, and most importantly the food was excellent and fresh when it arrived. They even picked up the big salad bowls from our venue the next day -- thank you! Really appreciate the great experience and highly recommend!
