“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!”

“We had the fish cakes with cesar salad, and bangers and mashed (so good we shared), delicious and the presentations were amazing. Price was affordable. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Live music was very relaxing and entertaining. A young lady named Kayla Mason was singing and playing acoustic guitar. Beautiful voice.

“Firs time in after the renovation and rebrand it was nice and open. Tori was our server and was excellent and answered all my questions about the menu. The staff was polite and friendly. It was nice to see new menu items but the classics were also still available as the garlic bread has always been a family favourite. Food and service was great.”

“North is one of our favorite local spots. They host fun events (the drag shows are wild and I love to see that type of support in our community). We love the atmosphere, food is great, staff is always lovely and the beer is always good - in fact, their sours are beyond the best around and I really hope they start brewing them again. I was definitely a bit disappointed that they haven't offered one recently so.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back your sours! I also think their merchandise offered is more stylish then a lot of other similar places. It has a unique surf/beachy vibe that I hope they continue. What's even better is that they offer a 15% discount you can use on merch, if you show your receipt after dining in their taproom! Keep up the great work!”

“Was there for supper tonight. Pleased to see that it was busy even though it meant we had to wait. The wait itself was really reasonable and the woman who waited on us was friendly, outgoing and a pleasure to deal with. My husband and I love their burgers and tonight did not disappoint. Can’t wait to come back! Update. We were there tonight, same location. Just as fantastic, hot and tasty as the last time. Kendal rang us through and she was super cheerful and really great to deal with. The entire staff made our meal one we really enjoyed.”

Enjoyed the steak and chicken fajitas—both were flavourful and perfectly cooked. The staff was incredibly friendly, even wishing my daughter a happy birthday, which made the evening feel extra special. “First visit: Michelin 3-Stars plus Head Chef - Amy McDougall out did herself! Nikki our server was great host worth a 5-Star rating herself. Our first time to Le Rouge we couldn’t find anything to complain about. Thea Langille said hands down our favorite restaurant in Halifax. Great wine selection and cocktail list. We kept it simple with a white. Started with 6 raw PEI oysters and decided on the spicy (good bite) with horseradish and lemon over the garlic / lemon sauce. These were the fullest & freshest oysters we have ever had. Ordered slightly more than simple garden salad with our AAA Prime rib medium rare beef dip with mayonnaise sandwich. The dip was not salty and complimented the whole sandwich exquisitely. Light and delicious and bursting with freshness flavours. We splurged and shared a Vanilla Tuile Sea Salt caramel with coconut pudding garnished with a tasty biscuit and candy caramel drizzle. Not what I was expecting! Tip if you get it. spoon clear to the bottom, light and balanced. Best part Amy McDougall served it herself. Stylish and elegant decor, easy to talk and have a conversation even with the back ground music. An applause for the interior designer. The colors, lines and high end appeal coupled the excellence of quality brought to the table. We will be back Nikki and thank you Amy, Sincerely Peter & Thea ❤️ Second visit: Another great night with the beautiful and always delightful Thea Langille. This time I will make note that we went to see “Oppenheimer” after the meal. We had to Google to remember it was “Indiana Jones” the last time. Lol. We started with the White and Rose Sangria, each choosing one. Then the Asian Nachos (my favorite), Seafood Chowder that was amazingly meaty & creamy. I had the garden with the Lobster Club on a croissant. No dessert this time. Nikki our server was once again delightful.”
