Third time we have eaten here. We come across the border to sightsee. Last Oct it was the beginning (and end) of a fall color trip down 395 to Lone Pine and Whitney Portal. Having loved lamb roast, chops and shanks for at least 60 years. I have never had better! The Basque family style is the way to go!! Soup, salad, beans, thick beef stew, a half carafe of wine, ice cream and coffee are an additional $8 per person when added to any entree. Had same menu and waitress on our way...read full review
Wonderful. Friendly enthusiastic service, and genuinely great food (and SO MUCH of it). Donica took great care of us. We were remarking that it's rare to have just good honest food with wonderful flavors coming from utterly classic cooking.

Went there for Valentine's Day, and the food was fantastic! My boyfriend had the ribeye steak and it was perfectly cooked! I had the filet mignon with shrimp scampi. All very delicious! Side dishes are delicious and very hearty, we took home the leftovers and ate it for lunch the next day! Ambiance is very nice for a date night! Service superb!
