Foothill Market is a relaxed, local spot in Genoa. The market has a trendy but cozy mid century modern feel, with a fun and fresh update that sets it apart from the old County store. The inside is remodeled, nice, bright, and clean. It still offers a general store with unique gifts and treats, including a sweet & punchy Danish mustard, Georgia pecans covered in chocolate, and wood framed sunglasses.
The menu offers approachable soups and sandwiches, with a few beers on tap and soft serve. Meals mentioned include a grilled cheese, clam chowder, hot dog, chips, sandwich, club sandwich, spicy peanuts, Genoa sandwich, Spicy Genoa, muffuletta, veggie sandwich, and French onion soup. The Spicy Genoa is the sandwich ever had. The homemade potato salad has a perfect balance of flavor. The clam chowder, with bacon, is the best ever had anywhere. The Wednesday night dinner was incredible. Everything tastes fresh and satisfying. The staff is super friendly. Foothill Market is an absolute must for anyone visiting or passing through Genoa.
