Makai Island Grill Reviews
Got dinner from here tonight (first time) and it was really good. Between us we tried teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef, kalua pork, chicken katsu, garlic edamame and Mac salad. Also tried the Hawaiian poke (never had poke before). Everything was so good!!! Only issue was that the Mac salad had quite a lot of salt and never had a Mac salad with potato in it before. It was good. Just a little different than we’re used to. The poke WAS AMAZING and I’ll definitely be getting that...read full review
After waiting so long for the North Las Vegas location to open I was highly disappointed! Never had a problem paying the expensive price for good Poke or had anything bad to say about Makai’s. But Poke I got was terrible. $20 for a container of soy sauce and a splash of tuna😳. I couldn’t even finish 2 bites, was like drinking soy sauce 😔. Not a happy customer.
My only regret is that we only tasted Makai the week we were moving away from Las Vegas! Absolutely DELICIOUS!

Makai Island Grill offers decent food with great service. The workers are amazing, providing professional assistance and informative support. Many customers have noted that the food looks fresh and lives up to expectations. While there can be occasional mix-ups with orders and some dishes may arrive cold, the overall experience remains positive. The portions for certain side dishes can be disappointing for the price, though the kimchee slaw and macaroni salad are well-portioned. The Poke has received praise for being very delicious, although some wish the serving size was larger. Customers also mention that the Mac salad is a bit salty and different from what they are used to, but still good. More drink flavor options through UberEats would be appreciated. Despite minor issues, this location is recognized for its Hawaiian cuisine and friendly customer service, making it worth a visit.
