“Authentic and delicious Hawaiian food! Staff was very friendly and the owner checked on us to make sure everything was good. Recommend the Mochiko chicken and malasadas. As a bonus, they have live Hawaiian music Saturdays 12-2. One downside is that it is not very inviting from the outside.“

I never had the chance to go as I am just visiting in town. But a great thing happened this visit, a couple nights ago IG showed @LasVegasFill featuring this spot and I said to myself, "self, golf weather ain't good, tables ain't good, but damn this place is GOOD!!!" Best luck I've had for two days- but don't get me wrong, the Wynn feeds me well. The service here was great they made me feel like a local from the island and the dude at cashier (I think he's the owner) was cool as cucumber man, it's like I'm in the islands again- and oh yeah, cool island music going on the whole time. But the real kicker was the Hawaiian Bowl man, it was fresher than fresh! Warm rice and cool ahi on top with all the island seaweed going on. I swear to anyone who loves the original poke that ya gatta try it!!! Soooo.... After I finished my bowl. I placed another order of the same bow!! And so now... I'm... well life is happening again!! “Matiki Island BBQ on Tropicana in Las Vegas is a great place to enjoy the viral beef ribs! We also tried the short ribs, both plates came with sides, white rice and potato Mac salad.The beef ribs were the highlight of our meal - they were huge, tender, and delicious. The potato Mac salad was a nice contrast to the meaty ribs - it was light and refreshing. The portions were very generous and the prices were fair for a Hawaiian restaurant. “This is seriously one of the best poke meals I've had (this is coming from someone who actually lived in poke heaven aka Hawaii ha). Pretty straight forward ordering process. You pick your size and type of rice. Then protein and sides (extra protein gives you an additional scoop). Can't go wrong with ahi tuna, spicy ahi, or salmon. Toppings come last, which I went with the seaweed salad along with a slew of other items. I did get the traditional sesame oil and soy sauce, but curious to try the other options. To be frank, it was a mountain of food and I barely had room for the tonkatsu ramen that I got on the side as part of their poke bowl/ramen special.“

“This picture does not do this place justice. I'd like to rate a 4.5 but unfortunately I am unable.I ordered takeout, furikake chicken, guava cake and drink. Now these portions can feed a family of 3-4 if you wanted it too. I don't have a picture of the food because I ate it up once I got home and realized after the fact. Only reason I couldn't give it 5/5 is because the guava cake was too sweet to me, and I usually like sweet food. It was overwhelming at times but I made some coffee and that helped tone down the sweetness.“

“Still one of my all-time favorites...the quality is always excellent and everything I have ever ordered has always been great. It's difficult not to order everything you see but I tend to focus on my usuals: tako poke (Hawaiian style, of course), tuna poke and salmon poke, with a couple of Spam musubi thrown in for food measure. If you like doughnuts, then the mochi doughnuts will knock you off your feet. You have never had anything like it.“

“Went for the first time and will definitely be coming back again. We got the plates with Kalua and Lau Lau, and will be ordering them again in the future. The chicken katsu was good too. I ate a spam musubi while we waited for the food, and now it’s my favorite spam musubi around. After waiting for a little, we were told that the rice was not ready and wouldn’t be for a while more. They offered us noodles as a substitute, which is also delicious, but also gave us drinks! They ended up giving us a huge serving of the noodles in each plate too! “Service was good! Employees were knowledgeable about the menu and provided good recommendations! Ambience was clean and had a Hawaiian vibe! I ordered 2 Ekolu meals (with 3 meats) for each meal! All this food fed a family of 3 and still had plenty leftovers. That being said, the portion sizes are big. Here is my rating of everything we got: - Teriyaki chicken 7.5/10 - Pulehu chicken 6/10 - Shrimp Tempura 6/10 ( if I ate it there fresh I may have been better) - Teriyaki steak 8/10 - Kalua pork 7/10 - Macaroni salad 7/10 Sauces were really good. My favorite is the spicy mayo and the spicy BBQ sauce (I can't remember what it's called) . I would definitely go back and try food fresh in the store.“
