Panadería Azteca Bakery is a great little shop known for its Mexican bread, tortas, and pastries. The Spanish bread is great, but paper bags will soak up the freshness by the end of the day, so plastic bags keep it fresh longer. The tortas are delicious and full of carnitas and other items, with a huge serving size on fresh bolio bread baked daily. They have the best flan and tres leches, including chocolate flan and stiffer or softer variants. Fresh tres leches pieces are available on Fridays around noon, and they also have small 10 or 12 inch tres leches cakes that require cash but no pre-order. The best churros are kept away from people’s reach. The service is pleasant, friendly, and greets customers with a smile. However, cakes are going up in price and lacking taste. The shop also has good-priced snacks and drinks.
