When I ordered the soup, it was barely any chicken or dumpling. Came into town yesterday with my husband. I ordered the akee and saltfish with dumplings and husband ordered the fried chicken with rice and peas. We were greeted nicely from a kind man. Food was absolutely delicious, plenty of flavors and spices and loved that they separated the gravy for the rice into a separate container instead of putting on top
Good food and staff

Hot Spot Jamaican American Cuisine offers delicious food, according to reviewers. The restaurant is praised for its authentic Caribbean taste and seasoning, with standout dishes like curry goat with roti and jerk chicken. Customers have described the jerk chicken as well-seasoned, marinated, juicy, and spicy. The restaurant also offers a variety of menu options, including fish meals and soups. While there have been some criticisms of the decor and cleanliness, particularly in the restrooms, the overall ambiance is described as beautiful, quiet, and nicely decorated. The staff is reported to be friendly, courteous, and welcoming. Parking can be challenging, and it's suggested to visit in person, pay with cash, and double-check orders before leaving.
