“We celebrated my college graduation at the Albany War Room Tavern, and it could not have been a more perfect choice! The food was AMAZING—every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The menu has so many great options, and everything we ordered was absolutely DELICIOUS.

The service was just as impressive. Karyn was fantastic—warm, attentive, and so much fun—and the host (we kept calling him Bob, although I’m pretty sure that wasn’t his name!) was equally SUPERB. They both made the evening memorable and definitely seemed entertained by our group in the best way.

The atmosphere was great too—comfortable, lively, but not overwhelming. We didn’t have to wait at all thanks to making a reservation ahead of time, which made the whole evening smooth and stress-free, especially for a Friday night.

The restaurant is nicely styled and comfortable. The greeters and wait staff couldn't have been kinder or more professional. $28.99 is worth every penny just for that. The longest we had to wait between orders was no more than 5 minutes. The food was fresh, perfectly presented and absolutely delicious! I really can't find the superlatives to describe it. When we found other establishments on New Scotland Ave closing their dining rooms by 9pm on a Saturday night, SakeCafe was graciously open, serving delicious food (we tried a little of everything from sushi to Udon) and with the best tableside service I've experienced in literally years. “Fantastic sushi! The "sushi for two" could easily be sushi for three, and the variety in that option is perfect for anyone with a mild tempermant in regards to flavoring and fish choices. Inviting and friendly environment, would highly recommend.
