“Our dinner was amazing today at forrestport dinner we had brisket dinner and fish fry many sides to choose from all very fresh and delicious also fresh rolls so good. The brisket lived up to all the great things we had heard. Also had calm chowder amazing and the famous donuts for desserts. Great service when we told them we were eating out by Dan.They packed all the items need for our family picnic. Thankyou”

“Ok, so the cook and bartender gave us wonderful service, and Tyler, the bartender when recommended a tour of Constable Hall, where we spent it afternoon after! The atmosphere is amazing in the Hulbert House (built in 1812). Beautiful, old walls and bar. The food was great! We got the Boonville Chicken Wrap. And the beer was fantastic! Will def be back.”

“Just a great mom and pop bar/grill in CNY. We stopped in because we were craving some wings that were talked about on Google Maps as we were driving around. According to past reviews about Tavern on the Gorge about thier wings, we gave it a shot. When we got there on our particular Monday, the owner Bill said that the kitchen was closed on Monday's. After letting Bill know that Google Map reviews brought us there for the wings, he turned on the fryer and made us some of the best damn wings in the CNY area!! Low and behold, another group of folks walked in and saw us eating wings and put in a HUGE order of wings as well. Needless to say, we had a second order of wings along with playing a few rounds of Quick Draw till our wings were ready. Overall, a nice little bar with a great owner. Thanks Bill!”

“10/09/24 UPDATE: The owner of Mercer's Dairy reached out to me shortly after I posted my review below and requested more information about the ice cream that I purchased, so I contacted her and provided the information she requested. She was very pleasant and apologized if that ice cream didn't meet their high standards for quality. She then graciously offered to refund my purchase price, and I accepted. Based on how this experience ended up, I've updated the review rating, and will try their ice cream again in the future. My sincere thanks and kudos to Ruthie for standing behind the quality of her ice cream products. That's something you don't experience very often these days.

10/07/24: I'd read all the great reviews, and heard that Mercer's ice cream is the stuff that legends are made of, so we decided to stop and buy some ice cream there on our way home on a recent Sunday. We bought a half-gallon of Adirondack Brownie ice cream, and we even bought some dry ice there just to be sure the ice cream didn't melt on the way home. The ice cream was still frozen when we got home, and it went right into our freezer and stayed there until we took it out that evening. Sadly, what's in this half-gallon carton is anything but rich ice cream. It's very grainy, and looks and tastes like it has ice crystals or freezer burn. It has the taste and consistency of ice milk, definitely not like any ice cream we've ever had. That's very disappointing considering we paid a premium price and expected a premium product. The expiration date is in 2026, so I guess that's not the problem. Maybe we just got some bad product. We'll just stick with Perry's or Breyers ice cream because we know what to expect from those two brands.”

“Very good food still, they are always skimpy on the sweet and sour sauce now, even if you pay for extra. Still best place around for takeout Chinese. Their egg rolls are incredibly good. The soup is very good and inexpensive.”

“I frequent this Subway a couple of times a month. I picked up my Italian sub today and it had so much oil on it's soaked through the paper wrapper. it had so much oil on it you could barely taste anything else. I've had such great sandwiches over the last 6 months or so I was really disappointed.”

“I went on a trip to Old Forge to get some photography in this past winter. On the way home my daughter and I were hungry as we missed dinner. I lived in CNY for most of my life and never been to White Lake Inn. We decided to stop for a late dinner... Honest review here....no holding back! I thought the experience was amazing. The food took a little longer than expected but I found out it was all being made fresh, and it tasted fresh as well. Me and my daughter sat near the fireplace and had some good laughs and conversations in which is hard with a teenager these days. Staff were friendly and kind and it was very clean and pleasant atmosphere even with the bar area full. I highly recommend stopping by and giving them a try. I will be back at some point this summer and maybe I will be allowed to sneak across to the waterfront for some photos? wink wink? Never know. Tell Joe Load I said hello. He probably does not remember me but always been a big fan and met a few times. I asked about the name Brian that was on the sign outside....I stated my name was Brian as well and when you see a sign with your name on it.... you stop! Sorry for your loss. “We go to the Boonville Burger King every once in a while since we live so close. Maybe once or twice a month. Last night, my husband was on the way to camp where the kids and I already were which was about 30-40 minutes away from him with no service. He had just gotten done with work and was ordering dinner since it was about 5³⁰pm and he didn't know if we had ate already. He pulled around to the window to pay and realized that he had left his wallet in his truck that he had left at home so that he could drive my car to the camp since it's better on gas. The manager told him, "Don't worry. I got you." She covered his meal when he was in need; and I'm deeply grateful for that. When he told me what happened, it restored some of my faith in humanity. It warmed my heart and made me smile. Thank you for taking care of my husband and for being a good person in a world that desperately needs more of them.”

“Gas station convenience store converted to gas station DD. Gas station busy, with 1 attendant. About 6 people waiting to get their orders made. No bathroom visible, 1 employee bathroom outside locked of course. Place out in rural area. Stony Brook looks scenic, but this DD appeared pretty sub par. How a gas station got through planning board without public bathroom is 1 legit question, how it got through DD franchise requirements is 2nd legit question. As Simon Cowell would say, it s a NO from me.22 May 2023”
