“Not my first choice of Italian bakery, but it is far closer.Generally it has always been my old man who come around here to buy some sweets for the house, and more generally me, but on this particular day I didn't feel like driving out to Clifton Park to my favorite bakery. It was closer to closing time when I stopped in but the selection was still pretty good, must have been a slower day for them, but I've had enough of their selection to know what I sought. A Raspberry Chinese Marble cookie, the Orange cookie (not it's official name, but what I call it), and some random smaller cookies. All in all I spent about $7 according to my statement, though I think there might have been a mistake as I clearly recall being told the cost came to something closer like $15. Weird.Anyways, the larger cookies were fantastic as usual, a slightly crunchy exterior, a slightly chewy interior, and complimented by the swirl of raspberry or sprinkles. The smaller cookies however all tasted stale and even one of them has a off putting flavor, a true shame since I started with those. So not a perfect visit, but still a much better choice of a bakery than Dunkin, though they have their competition with G’s Famous Lemon Cookies in downtown Amsterdam. Overall 4/5.“

“My daughter and I are from NJ and were traveling back down from Burly, VT after the GAI waterfront concert last weekend. We shad booked overnight in amsterdam at the castle hotel nearby on Saturday night as a place to stay before we headed to Hobart book village on our way home on Sunday. On Sunday morning my daughter found G's for us for breakfast. It was quite the experience. The food was delicious and the homemade breads used in my breakfast sandwich and my daughter's GF breakfast pizza were amazing! And the coffee was delicious and just right. But the people were the highlight. The owner and her husband, a local teacher, were so kind and friendly and so were the locals, who kept streaming in and out for their am pastries and coffee. We met some really nice folks and left with a full homemade delicious meal in our bellies that carried us through the entire day.I don't know if I would go back to Amsterdam NY for the "castle" (for over $300 per night it was OK and offered no sit down breakfast there for guests) but if I'm ever within an hour of the area again soon, I will definitely find my way to G's!!!“

“Love this place! Quick and professional, very friendly. The coffee tastes better and the price is actually a little lower, i think?? The store does a lot of business volume yet they are still nice. Well staffed with good people. The location is worth a million dollars, its at a relatively major intersection, on a roundabout. But still has parking because most customers use the drive thru“
“A good travel plaza with plenty of options for food, drinks and snacks. Not to mention plenty of room in the restrooms to accommodate plenty of visitors. I liked that they had a farmers market outside of the plaza. Everything was neat and clean with plenty of parking.“

“What a hidden gem! Get here early as they sell out fast. I stopped in last Saturday to get something special for my Dad for Father's Day. We bought two sugar cookies, a Blueberry Lemon Scone, and two Ricotta cookies. Everything was great, but the Ricotta cookies were out of this world great. Glad to have another good bakery option in the area, will absolutely be back!“
