“Sometimes you’re just looking for a little beach time and some great BBQ – and Batesy's BBQ delivered on both! We were in town helping another G-FORCE location with an Amazon project, so naturally, we took a break to explore the local food scene. First Impressions: We kicked off with the Deviled Eggs – the jalapeño added a nice little kick while the bacon... well, it was bacon – crispy and delicious. Next up were the House Pickles – sweet, vinegary, and unexpectedly tasty. Who knew pickles could be this good? The Mains: Harry went with the Pulled Pork – packed with flavor, moist, and paired with an excellent sauce. The Potato Salad stood out with just the right-sized chunks, and the Cornbread? Perfectly crispy on the outside. Steve opted for the BBQ Chicken – tender and juicy, coated with that same outstanding house sauce. And the Kielbasa? This place might not be Polish, but they nailed it – full of flavor and definitely a surprise hit! The Potato Salad reminded us of Grandma’s homemade classic, and the Collards had a unique twist that, honestly, we didn’t hate. The rest of the table didn’t hold back either – from the Burger to the Mac and Cheese and, of course, more Pulled Pork, it was all a hit! “We are on vacation here and we were searching for good food in this location and we found this place. At first we were hesitant to order from this place because of the reviews we have read. But we tried chicken fried rice and fried chicken and it was delicious and affordable. We highly recommend this place if u love spicy and authentic Chinese food. Don’t forget to ask for extra hot sauce.
You might have language barrier but you can use google translate to explain to them your preferences.”

“UPDATE . from 1 star to 5 . This location improved DRASTICALLY! I go here everyday , the staff is pleasant and mobile orders are coming out quick! If you stopped coming to this location when they first opened I would say to give them a second chance you wont be disappointed!!

Order same thing everyday through the mobile app , drink is made different each and everytime . If using the mobile app sometimes the order takes 10 mins other times its not ready after 35 mins . Drive thru is a joke ! You cant place your order until the car before you orders and picks up their order causing the drive thru line to be backed up with a minimum wait time of 5 mins per car. Although I have to admit that they have been doing a little better since its almost always empty now cause alot of people had horrible experiences and just stopped going here ! Everyone i speak to regarding this location has had a negative experience and has stopped going here . Its a shame ! Location needs more staff and better training. Worker asked me a few days ago "whatcha waiting for " with the nastiest attitude while waiting for my drink to get remade cause it was HORRIBLE , after getting it remade worse then the 1st time i just left with a crap 7 dollar coffee that went straight to the trash@”

“This place is fantastic!! The food flavorful and you’ll end up craving it a few days later. I highly recommend their spicy katsu chicken sandwich and their curry bowl. They have fun Japanese drinks, desserts and snacks as well. There is sometimes a long line but it goes quick. Definitely check this place out.”

“Yer basic taproom, a bunch of their own great beers on draught and can, mix of lager, IPA and silly stout. Bar staff that know the beers.

The afternoon I visited there was a DJ on playing some light rock, a nice amount of background ambience without getting in the way of having a conversation.”

“An absolute must! Such a tucked away gem. I Came in on a whim for dinner on my own, and was lucky enough to grab the only seat available at the bar. The host and manager were incredibly accommodating.

I started with the Broccolini Borani, which was absolutely fantastic. I had it with the Komaj bread, a pair I highly recommend. The citrus date and cabbage salad was also beyond unique. The dates are served warm, and the combination of ingredients makes for a start that beautifully combines what we think of as a salad, with everything we look for in a comfort food. Please Get this!
I also had the grilled Ahi tuna. The eclectic use of mint, pomegranate, walnuts, and chili oil made this dish as beautiful as it was superb (be sure to get this too)

I opted for the octopus kebab as my entree, which was perfectly tender and served with a delicious pepper tahini and pickled cucumbers. It has a little kick to it, which I loved, and served as the perfect finish.

Don’t skip on dessert. The saffron Ice cream sandwich was everything I saw depicted online and more, but the couple next to me enjoyed the rose cake, and the reviews sounded incredible as well. So be sure to leave room for either one.

The service was above and beyond from start to finish. The bartenders were also incredibly welcoming and walked me through the menu and their recommendations step by step.
On that note, definitely get the Saffron Martini!

I've never in my life tasted such amazing food like this and to be honest I'm very critical and hard to please when it comes to food so like always I was waiting to either be let down or not that impressed but I was shocked I live in the City and I order from these guys 2 sometimes 3 times a week. Let me just say that this place has such a traditional Japanese vibe to it…the staff is warm and welcoming and the food was spectacular.
We had the ramen, both original and spicy and it was very delicious. We also had two Asahi beers and called it a day.
