About TRU Astoria

TRU Astoria is a charming Mediterranean bar and cafe with a distinctly European ambiance. Despite its location, the restaurant is not overly crowded, providing a pleasant dining experience. The food is surprisingly good, with a menu that offers a mix of American and Mediterranean dishes. The cocktails and drink menu are also noteworthy, and the specials list is particularly impressive. Customers have praised the brunch menu, especially the Crab Benedict and the Three-Milk French Toast, which are standout items. The brunch menu is popular for its bottomless option, and the service is often described as friendly and accommodating. The restaurant's cozy decor and attentive staff make it a great spot for both lunch and dinner. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and stylish, perfect for both a date night or a night out with friends. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. The food was incredible, with every dish bursting with flavor, beautifully plated, and cooked to perfection. The lamb chops were easily one of the best. Drinks were on point too, creative and well-balanced, and the wine list had great selections. Cruz is an awesome bartender and has amazing recommendations for delicious cocktails.

The new design gives the restaurant a much more open and energetic feel compared to the previous layout. While longtime visitors may remember the smaller and more intimate atmosphere, the renovation...read full review
Cute little brunch spot in Astoria with great vibes and delicious food. The steak and eggs were so good there wasn’t a single crumb left. The red velvet waffles were on the sweeter side because of the icing, so we saved them for dessert.
