“I live in Franklin square. And I tried every pizza spot in the area and surrounding towns. I could never find a consistent solid regular slice with no flop. Nobody takes pride in pizza making anymore. Everybody seems to be focusing on specialty pies, rolls, pinwheels etc…. I just wanted a classic regular, crispy, tasty slice. And I finally found that here! I walked into the place as a stranger, and I left as a family member…. Eddie, the owner, was the nicest person I had ever met. I love this Rockaway Beach pizza spot. The pizza itself was fantastic - generous they are with the toppings, and that cheese pull was absolutely divine. The crust had the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, and the sauce had just the right amount of tang. I am satisfied after a day in the sun!“

I lived right on that block, and Joe’s was always there. Growing up in Brooklyn in the 90s, this was the spot for a slice, a drink, something good to eat, and those arcade memories.

The pizza had that real New York flavor, and to me it had that old-school Italian taste that just hit different. The cheese, the sauce, that smell when you walked in — man... once you smelled it, you already knew you were getting something good 😂

Honestly, not just the pizza either. Everything I remember from there tasted good. I moved away, but I still miss Joe’s. Places like this stay with you.

“Great food, nice employees, and quick service, I have no complaints but whenever we go in and this particular staff member is behind the counter, she always says they have no olives. That would be fine but it seems to only be when this person is taking our order that they say they have no olives. I visit this place frequently and whenever we are seen by another staff member they will give us olives no problem, or even ask green or black? How is it that there are neither green nor black olives whenever this person takes our order? It is a great establishment but where is this woman hiding the olives??? I would also like to mention that she frequently gets our orders mixed up. I asked for a mushroom slice and my friend asked for an olive slice, she took our order and went to prepare it but we saw her making 2 mushroom slices instead. We quickly corrected her, and only then she said that they had no olives. Instead of asking if my friend would like something instead of olives while taking our order, she didn't mention that they didn't have any and decided to give her mushroom instead without her knowing.“
