“Let me tell you something about the man that owns this business. I used to be really strung out on drugs living behind the gas station right across the street. Most of the time I never had money for a meal but this guy would still always feed me. Sometimes it was the ONLY thing I had to eat for days. When I did have money, he wouldn't let me pay because he knew how rough of shape I was in. Fast forward a year later, I have a year clean and went in to buy the breakfast he used to make me. When I tried to pay with my card, his machine didn't accept AMEX and without a second thought he STILL just gave it to me. When you talk about community and delis on Long Island, this place is and will always be at the top of the charts. God bless this man and his family. AMAZING FOOD. AMAZING SERVICE. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY HE CARES, which is more than people can say about most others.“

“Was in the area, and stopped by for a quick bite. All 3 of the workers were super friendly and courteous when I walked in. I had a flagel with chicken salad and tomato, and it was absolutely delicious! Also came with a side salad, and it was all under $12! Great price for a filled sandwich.“

“I have been going to this place for years and I've never had an issue with the food, pricing or service. The bagels are delicious: large, crusty, but with a nice chew and taste. (and this is coming from a bagel-snob). The people behind the counter are always very nice and organized even when it's busy.

I also like the locals/regulars who always eat here; they are very colorful and interesting to listen to. This is one of the few places remaining where you can sit down and get a nice bacon, egg, potato platter without having to wait for a table or endure slow table service or ridiculous prices. The home fries with ketchup are an acquired taste but I've grown to love them. FYI-The grill is on a little too high; sometimes eggs are cooked right but over on the outside.“
